Great lunch of mixed bread served with three different olive oils (goat cheese, rosemary and garlic and spicy chilli/ along with 3 sea salts, crispy prawn poke bowl, tempura octopus, and goat moussaka, white wine (Verdejo)
Cracking lunch in a restaurant out of the tourist areas, quirky, modern with excellent customer service. (More restaurants need front of house like La Jaira!)
They also do a menĂş del dĂa for €12 for 3 courses and a drink.
Watch out for the green lines outside, as the only downside was we got a parking ticket!

Found this lovely restaurant and want to share how fantastic it is.
Food excellent and beautifully presented. Staff attentive and friendly.
Super clean and covid regulations followed thoroughly.
We had the lunchtime menu del dia, couldn't believe the excellent quality of ingredients at such a reasonable price. Would highly recommend a visit.

We sat in the pretty garden area under the roofed terrace for early dinner. We had 3 sharing dishes between us, the menu was written on a chalk board and you could choose from 20-some different plates, the waitress helped us choose and served everything very well. The ensaladilla rusina with crunchy gambas was absolutely the best thing we've had. The variety of croquetas were ok, not really crunchy and plate could be a little more decorated in our opinion. Last we had fresh tuna with tempura veggies, nicely done đź‘Ś also had a wine from Tenerife. I really love it when local businesses like to work with local quality products!
The chef even came to say hi and we finished our meal with an oat milk cappuccino and a chocolate moeuilleux (coulant) and something with fried bananas. Nice dessert. Good coffee. We paid 50 something euros, so if you're on the island or in the area worth a visit!

Disappointing, rushed, food awful, staff indifferent.. We sat down and ordered the 3 course lunch, within minutes our first course came and we had soup which was nice but cold but we decided it was tasty enough to eat cold.. I had just put my spoon down and my fish arrived!! It was also like warm and not tasty just bland and over cooked, we had asked the waitress if it came with potatoes and she said oh yes it does. It was awful and tasteless. We had come specially having had a wonderful meal before. See my last review. Once again the sweet turned up of we had accepted the sweet at this point we could of had a 3 course meal and out in 20 minutes. I have never before experienced been rushed at this level. We had come in to the city just for this restaurant. There definitely will not be a 3rd!!

We love this place. The food is tasty, good quality and always has a little creative touch to it bringing your taste buds to a travel. You don’t get bored to keep going in here. The atmosphere is pleasant and service really attentive. They are more than happy to recommend and talk to you about the food and wine/drinks. Great value too, we will be back!

Love this little place in one of the back streets of Puerto del Rosario. Well worth the visit. The waiter was friendly, informative without being intrusive - the tapas fantastic, the iberico pork with honey and sesame, cheese fondue with aubergine (amazing!) and different dipping oils with crusty bread … really delicious and good value. Good job guys, you are deserving of your high rating !

It's always a pleasure to visit La Jairra. The food is well-presented, good quality and never disappoints. As a coeliac I am always well looked after and there is very little I can't have which means my dining experience is the same as the rest of my party. The chocolate coulant is fabulous, being able to have an indulgent dessert rather than being told 'we can make you a fruit salad' as a gluten free option stops you feeling like a pain in the butt for having different dietary needs, so thank you Damien for recognising that it's very easy to make a menu gluten friendly!

The service and the food were excellent. There is a good selection of different tapas dishes and main dishes to choose from.
The Chef and owner came to our table and took the time to explain many of the ingredients in the dishes and how he would prepare for us. It was like having our own personal chef.
We shared the majorero cheese platter and arpitas de ceviche, which was like a Mexican tortilla filled with fish and other lovely flavours. The mains were equally delicious and varied.
Whilst waiting for our starters to arrive they gave us a selection of beautiful oils and bread to try together with a small soup dish.
Our waitress was really professional and enabled us to try the wine before we purchased the bottle.
It was my husbands birthday and totally unprompted they produced a small birthday dessert and sang happy birthday to him.
This restaurant has style and a really chilled ambience. I would not hesitate to recommend or return.
It’s a truly fabulous experience. Thank you la Jaira for making our evening so enjoyable.

After having our fill of half board hotel food we decided to check out Trip Advisor for recommendations for good tapas and found Jairo. We were taking a trip up to Puerto del Rosario for shopping and I am so glad that we followed Google maps to find this hidden treasure!
This is my first time travelling abroad and am nervous about trying to speak Spanish. From the moment the waiter greeted us at the door and I nervously asked if he spoke English, not only he, but all of the staff served us in English, including an English menu.
We had four courses and everything was perfect! The atmosphere, the service and the food was absolutely amazing! I especially recommend the pork ribs in rum&honey and the goat moussaka.
We didn't have room for dessert this time but I am certain that future trips to Puerto del Rosario will include further visits here!

We enjoyed our meal: standout was the La Jaira goat dish with tempura vegetables and the tuna burgers. Service was great.
The soup and the bread clearly had effort put in, but ended up missing the mark slightly for us - the soup was orangey and a bit odd, the bread was good but only a small portion of olive oil and salt offered (not aioli). That said, it was a unique meal in Fuerteventura and we would come again.

Our first visit and what a great find. Food was excellent served by friendly, informative and attentive staff. Demian was descriptive and proud of his ingredients. The tapas we had were very tasty: spinach salad with chicken and cheese, mixed croquettes and Jaira Royal goat with tempura vegetables. Thank you Demian and we'll be back again soon.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Beautiful food, wonderful menu, reasonably priced, lovely service. The menu was varied and the fusion of flavours in each dish we tried were a delight. Relaxed ambience. I was very impressed that they had a lovely kids menu to keep small kids happy also.

Staying in Caleta and it was our first visit here....hopefully not our last. Absolutely amazing food. Could not fault a single dish. Servers are super friendly and explain everything about each dish. We had the croquettes, octopus, breads with olive oil and salt, ribs with honey, entrecote with red wine sauce and pork cutlets. Every single dish was perfect. Highly recommend and hope we manage to squeeze in another visit before we go home.

Another excellent dining experience!
We love the oils and salts that come with the basket of hot bread.
Complimentary amouse bouche; hot carrot and zucchini, delicious.
The mixed croquettes were melt in the mouth.
Goat moussaka and chicken skewers in a honey and rum sauce both a taste sensation.
Great, friendly service.
Thank you Demien and team.
