We had the centenario menu. Memorable lunch with great wine which complemented our menu immensely. A recommandation for those of us who like to eat some typical spanish dishes with a twist.

We had never been to this restaurant before, even though we've been going to alter for already 22 years. The food is perfect and it is nice to have several smaller courses. The service is so great and they are so friendly that it fits their saying "we love that guests will enter, but we are really happy when they... More

The food was great. The service was great. Everything was perfect. I would say that it is one of the best restaurants in the area. But you have to take into account that the price is also a little higher. But this is completely worth it.

Many courses of very interesting & tasty dishes. We had the full hit with wine to match each course and we were not disappointed. Chef came out to see if everyone had enjoyed their meals which was nice. Waitresses were actually interested in our comments.

This is an upscale restaurant, lovely haute cuisine. Menu is very good value for money. Take the menu with the wine, you won't be disappointed. Make sure you don't have to drive home afterwards. The chairs are a shame, really uncomfortable for such a good restaurant.

It is a small restaurant , with not comfortable wooden chairs .The presentation of the food is wonderfull , but the taste was extremely disappointing .I really wonder how this restaurant got a bib gourmand. The sommelier , extreme friendly ., but speaks limited english . I typical example is "this is a special wine , sweet in the noise... More

Absolutely dedicated to the local and the seasonal, El Xato may not be for everyone. The chef takes liberties with you as a customer, assuming you are game for things that are absolutely typical in the area around La Nucia. As we had a picky eater in our group, we opted for ala carte even if two of us wanted... More

Before our annual girly weekend to the Costa Blanca I decided to look at trip advisor for any different eating out ideas and came across the reviews for El Xato . I was shocked as had been coming to La Nucia for over a decade and this restaurant had not caught my attention . I made the booking online and... More

We didn't know what to expect when we went to El Xato. We had dined in Michelin-starred restaurants in France and didn't expect too much. But the food was of the highest quality - innovative, interesting and above all full of flavour. The cosy atmosphere of the small dining room enhances the experience. Go for lunch it last all afternoon... More
