AMAZING! Even in these strange Covid times, this restaurant is one of those lucky rare finds that makes you feel smug to ‘happen across it’ from the location in Haria (we were on our way to Mirador El Rio to see the stunning La Graciosa...views) - it’s a quaint restaurant with old style charm but clean & modern. Great carpark, outside and inside seating & we only saw Spanish eating there but were greeted by English Nikki and her Spanish husband - everything was fab from the service to the outstanding fresh food prepared to order. We had sea bass and chicken skewer with homemade brownies. Forgot phone so no pics but when we return to this beautiful island this will be forever on our favourites list.More

Amazing service, they make you feel at home. Great venue, very causal, cozy and comfortable. Really good food, very original, tasty and prepared with care. I would happily come back even if I had to drive for an hour, saying because in fact I did...it.. I went to Lanzarote for three days, I stayed in Playa Blanca and I still go to this restaurant twice driving from the other side of the island. Highly recommended ^_^ and reasonably priced considering the overall quality ^_^ (Thanks Víctor! From Rober, David and Edu)More

I'm not sure how this place gets so many 5 stars, rather than thinking there only unknowing tourists with no idea what local food should be like. I mean, food is not bad at all, just not enough for a 5 stars rate! First of...all, there were ONLY foreigner tourists in the restaurant, fallen in the traps like we did. second, there were ants eating with us, on the little wall next to my chair. Service was good, but the waiter kind of lied about a couple of dishes. Having a local at the table (the only one in the entire place) didn't help his lies to go unnoticed. "Chorizo" that was not chorizo (even though it was a good something-else), a triple gofio dessert that was only a double gofio (again, really good. And the waiter did say there were only 2 gofio layers, AFTER we ate it) and so on. The wine was brought directly in the glass without us seeing the bottle, which I always find suspicious. They offered a final shot of ron miel, which is always appreciated. When we joked about the fact that one of us had to drive and could not drink it, the waiter answered that someone else should drink it instead. Not the most noble answer....More

If you would like to get out of the busy and touristic towns, visit Haria! And after a long day you can get a delicious plate of food at Puerta Verde. The interiour is nothing special and there is no view to speak of but...the food is amazing. It is different, food with a twist. Please try the pork with truffle puree: fantastic! We ate here 3 times, before it closed because of Corona. Hopefully they will be open soon.More

Very much worth seeking this place out and avoiding the tourist traps in the centre of this small town. Located up a small side street 2-3 mins walk from the centre, don’t be put off by the underwhelming kerb appeal. Really really good food and...excellent service. One of best meals of our holiday in Lanzarote. The owners just need to do some work on the restaurant exterior as it looks a bit shabby. Highly recommended.More

This restaurant was just up the road from our apartment and was an absolute gem of a find. The food is slightly more expensive than other restaurants in the locality but the quality is outstanding. We ate there 3 nights out of the 7 we...were there as it was so good. The lamb was great as was the fish and the slow cooked belly of pork.More

I could tell it would be the best restaurant of the trip (an impressive accolade) when they brought the bread - nice bread in itself, but the hummus it came with was incredible, as was the (maybe?) sour cream dip. “Sardine and cheese” isn’t an...inspiring sounding fish but you have to try it - blocks of roasted cheese, smeared with some papaya compote and each topped with a smoked sardine, alongside some fried corn for texture - an amazing combination. Worth the trip up here alone. Sarah has the black rice main, as someone who doesn’t normally like risottos and the like she loved it - a good portion of seafood and ink-dyed rice in a shallow pan. My salted grouper was also delicious, a great selection of sauces on some meaty fish with a lot of taste. The chocolate coulant is definitely the dessert to go for if you still have space! Service was also friendly and rapid. Highly recommended!More
