We went almost without hunger and could not resist several things... For me the best artichoke with egg poche and cream boletus. The anchovy with tomato 🍅 good but without any mystery. Tender croquettes inside and crunchy outside. The slightly salty vegetable lasagne... and the gratin cheese to improve. The potato tortilla we were presented with while waiting was very good. Freshly baked bread and quality table oils. A lengthy letter that we'll have to try again another day.

We ate exceptionally well in a great atmosphere. We can recommend the seafood, fish as well as the meat. See you next time.

There was some confusion over our booking. We were told we had a reservation at the 'bar' On booking by telephone, I specifically heard my husband say "not at the bar", this was because I am disabled and could not have sat at the bar. They eventually seated us outside, even though we had reserved a table inside. We have tried this restaurant many times in the past, and written good reviews, however the last couple of visits have been very disappointing and very expensive. Also when ordering my starter we were given the calamar for two people, I did not say it was to share. As my husband had ordered his starter seperately, I would have thought it was understood, we didnt ask to share. The calamar was lacking in flavour and slightly tough. My husbands Tataki Tuna was really good. We had a chiptos salad to accompany the starters. Very few chiptos in the salad which was mostly lettuce and tomatoe. For the main, I had Pulpo ( octopus) which was tough and completely tasteless. I don't know what the sauce was with the octopus, but again, no taste at all. My husband had brojen eggs with mushrooms. He found the potatoe's tough as though they had been previously cooke and cooked again. The same for the mushrooms, also with very little flavour. This restaurant is extremely popular and you need to book in advance, but it seems they are living on their past reputation, which was excellent. We only had two beers and two tonic waters to drink, no wine and the bill came to over a HUNDRED EUROS, this included two sweets. Extremely expensive for a mediocre meal. We were charged for two breads also, when only one bread was eaten. We left feeling we had been ripped off again. Needles to say we will not be returning in the future. On a positive note, the staff are very good and the service is fine.

Families abstain. We wanted to have some beers and maybe some tapas. But since we entered with children they looked at us badly. We went without a reservation and, even though another family was leaving the bar, they turned a deaf ear and did not want to serve us in the room. They invited us to go outside to a plank in a window, and it was a horrible day. Needless to say, we left. By the way, everything was empty.

So pleased with our choice last night and thanks to you Trip Advisor for influencing us! Great food, service and an excellent ambience. If in Villena again we would not hesitate to return. We shared Tataki de atun to start and had the Solomillo and Lamb Shoulder for mains, no room for dessert but they looked very tempting.

Had been recommended and deservedly so. Food was delicious, particularly langostinos al curry and helpful service. Good atmosphere - always think linen tablecloths and napkins are good indication of quality restaurant. Will be back.

This review is a little delayed as i have just found the business cards put safely away - so safely I couldn't find them! We went to Titas as we had a member of the family who knew of it and where it was located, as we would have had difficulty in finding it ourselves. It is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff so fabulously beyond the call of customer care and the food absolutely delightful. We went with Paella in mind and were not to be disappointed. On half of the party decided on seafood, and me, a meat one. We were not disappointed. As one of our party rightly said, if you have to have a photograph of your food outside on a pavement "v" board with a member of staff 'worrying' you in, you need to avoid the place. And this one didn't. You asked about the dishes f the day and were fully explained with even the offer of a taste. I was fascinated by the beer vats some 10 or so metres up the wall at one end of the restaurant and was informed these were filled directly by pipe from the local brewery, which just happened to be my favourite beer tipple, Estrella. We enjoyed a mixed mezze-style starter, which even though it contained some foods I am personally not fussed on, it was delicious. While the main paella is certainly a feature all over Spain, this was one worth driving for. The fusion of tastes, the lemon, the careful seasoning, the rice cooked with passion and completely oil-less. Boy, what a feast! There is plenty to chose form on the menu from very traditional local food to fish and steaks for the less adventurous. My advice is to tell the water your likes and ask what dished they have that include it! The other great thing is that, yes, we went off season, but the place was teeming with locals, young and old, which spoke volumes for the restaurant. And to finish, one of our party who is a genuine wine expert (as opposed to a wine bore who knows everything while knowing absolutely nothing) was able, while the rest of us enjoyed some local after-dinner spirits) to grab a glass of Clio wine, a speciality of the region which is nigh on impossible to get in the UK. Verdict. If you are within a 30-mile radius of Titas, visit it! You won't be disappointed (unless you are a burger and chips bore - but even then Titas can oblige!). And for what we steered our way though food and drink wise, not at all expensive. Oh, and the toilets were spotless too!

Overall a decent meal with a helpful waiter. Don’t go here if you are looking for pub grub. The octopus was delicious and recommended. Only reason not given a five was the atmosphere sat inside was not great, too light but appreciate that is personal taste. The bill came to around 85e for a family of five with drinks.

We had the zamburiñas (scallops) in the shell, delicious, the chopitos salad, delicious, and several other dishes that we shared, and it was all excellent. Service was friendly and quick, and if the food is a little expensive (though the quality means it's really worth it), the drinks were very reasonable. I was on cloud nine when we left.

Delicious food and great service. Their selection of tapas and the quality of their products are exceptional. Very good wines and lively atmosphere. They give a modern twist to many traditional tapas but maintaining the essence of the flavors and respect of the product. They also have some quite innovative proposals and interesting new combinations. Sitting at the bar is probably the best way to enjoy this place, although they also have tables and high tables if you want a more formal meal. Only problem ... they are too successful! and the locals know of its quality, so it might be difficult to find space or a table if you do not have a reservation.
