This restaurant came highly recommended but turned out to be most underwhelming. After placing our food and wine order, we asked 3 times , 3 different staff members for ice - it never appeared. Some food that should have been hot was cold/ lukewarm ,...the service was pretty much non existent and the staff seemed disinterested. We were offered the dessert menu whilst still waiting for our food, at this point we gave up and asked to speak to a manager, there was confusion about who this actually was- needless to say exacerbating the situation further- we hadn’t eaten everything, paid 2/3 of the bill and left . A thoroughly disappointing waste of our last night in Alicante - the food was poor and service needs shaking up big time it was a disjointed, miserable experience . The price would be worth it if everything was perfect but it was far from that.More

What a place! Very cozy entrance and bar area, but the cellar was cramped. We decided to go for the tasting menu with wine paring. Consistently good food and matching local wine. The waiter talked a little low, so his voice didn’t reach al the...guests on our table when he told us about the wine and food we got served. The menu was served to fast, who did that they didn’t clean the table before the next dish was served. In addition they forgot to change our plates between one of the dishes. The high tempo of the serving was a little tiring to keep up with. In any case, it was a successful evening with excellent food and wine.More

This is sort of a sit down tapas bar/ restaurant. The list of tapas is a page long. We tried a couple of croquetas as a starter. We really came for the black rice. For Americans that means paella. It’s black because of the squid...ink. The rice was wonderful and was studded with squidd and shrimp. Minimum of two people but the dish would serve three. We also ordered an Alicante white wine which went well. You could also order instead a selection of tapas as a main course and there were 3 other types of rice dishes.More

Called in with the doors open around 1220 to be told “WE OPEN AT ONE” Wandered around and returned at the appointed hour - so glad we did. A different sort of welcome , a good table and cold Mahou. Tasty nuts and olives ....From a wide ranging menu we stayed with tapas - pata negra ( small is good for two) , crystal bread with tomatoes , goats cheese , patatas bravas , spicy sausage and a green salad - more Mahou .. Delicious - the best light lunch for many a year . Friendly staff whose timing was impeccable. Go there , it’s good - ( but don’t be early )More

Get place to have a snack if your waiting to catch a train. We had a few tapa’s and wine. Nice service and a department store that has anything you might need.

We had a paella dish however it wasn't the best paella that we had whilst in Alicante despite being more pricey than others.

The food and service were fabulous however the ambience was spoiled by some of the staff moving tables and chairs around as we tried to enjoy a relaxing meal

We came here after my best friend recommended us to visit, oh my goodness there are no words to describe this but absolutely amazing! The service was incredible, they could not do enough for us, Enrique and the other staff were just fantastic, and the...food was just unreal. Thank you thank you thank you - we will definitely be back!More

We enjoyed our visit and this time I would say the food has gone up a notch. A really interesting take - Tellinas are on offer (which are fabulous if you love shell fish). The puds are excellent, citrus and olive oil ice cream, wow,...that is a wonderful combination. Service is excellent and it's all good value for what you get. A really lovely evening with excellent food!More

We booked a table for 22:00, we waited until 22:30, and they still didn't have a table available for us, even though we booked in advance. We waited with other people who had the same experience. We will NEVER book a table or come back...to this establishmentMore

As this is Michelin star restaurant, we had high expectations. Food was good, and as expected portions were small. We found the staff to be excellent, they were beyond good at their jobs. Espresso martini to die for and excellent Rocha wine. What more could...we want!More

We had a reservation and arrived on time anticipating a lovely meal like we had had a couple of days before with no reservation. We were shown a table and the menu with a little bowl of nuts was thrust on us as a token...of service. Which was all we got for half an hour. It was early, the tables were getting occupied - but it was nowhere near awfully busy. So, after having had no attention whatsoever for 30 minutes (there was a couple at the next table who arrived after us being served attentively) we left. We told the waiter who received us we were leaving. The response was: Ok. Wow, no apology or reaction whatsoever. We visited a couple of days before and had a lovely experience. It seems they should step up with the varying quality of the service.More

We went for coffee and dessert and got a surprise when the bill came, 50 euros! for 3 coffees, 1 tea, 1 cheese-cake at 10,50 euro and 2 torrijas --which is a piece of bread dipped in milk and deep fried--at 13 euros each! I...couldn't believe my eyes. never again!More

This is one of my favorite places to go when I am in Alicante and always amazed about quality of the food and service remain top. Therefore this is a highly recommended place and a personal top 5 five in Alicante like Terazza Del Gourmet...and Monastrell which is also owned by Maria José San Roman.More

Hi, seems like others have already answered this, which is just as well as I 'm sure you can look it up on google maps or similar - find the restaurant and ignore the hotel, better value.
