Wonderful ice-cream

We choose 2 flavours each and the tubs, 3.30 euros each were over-filled with delicious ice-cream. The previous day in another cafe, the tubs were only filled to be lid, so this was an unexpected bonus. Perhaps the reason why so many were queuing up to buy!

The nicest cafe in Alicante with best ice cream

It is one of the nicest cafes in Alicante and one with history as it was started in 1980s. We were there in the evening to get some ice cream which was actually cheaper than in other cafes. A scope was 2,8 eur and 2 medium ones were 4,5 eur. There were a lot of tastes, maybe 30 kinds some very unique and local. The cafe sells also own turrons and Spanish sweets nicely packed but more pricy than in a supermarket. The cafe has few tables to sit inside but more place to sit outside but seems to be busy in the evenings. It is located to some unique giant ficus trees which are protected due to its age and size. The disadvantage of the place is that when you get your ice in scones there is no place to sit and you are eating in on a busy street next to the bus stop.

Great place for afternoon coffee and sweet treats

Love going here to satisfy my sweet and cafe lounging. Love the decor or sophisticated black and wood with a gleaming chandelier bringing light. The menu offering of sweets, Frappuccinos, coffee mixes will satisfy any afternoon cravings. Great place to pass the time inside and outside the cafe.

Best ice cream in Alicante

Amazing ice cream. A really interesting choice of flavours. I had the licorice ice cream and it was one of the best I have ever had. When we visited there was only one waitress trying her best to cover all the tables so the service was a bit slow.

Bad Service Good Ice cream

They are doing a good business but they do not provide seats for their customers, many families have the ice cream while standing on the sidewalk. It is strange that people queue up for ice cream and then stand in the way to eat it. We will never visit this overrated place.

Great ice cream

This was the first of 3 places I tried for ice cream and was the best. I had mango and chocolate and it was delicious. The next time we tried to go, the queue was too long so we sat down on the terrace alongside and had waiter service. This time I tried the Spanish cheesecake which was OK. There was an insane chocolate cake but we were just too late and saw the last slice being enjoyed by the table next to us.

Terrible service

Disappointing service. Something must have changed since the renovation of the premises. One service person on the entire terrace full, dirty dishes, very slow service, etc. We hope that they will return to the quality of before.

Too bad you can't set a zero. We ordered an ice cream, an ice coffee and a Gin Tonic. When I asked for the bill, it came with a €0.10 thistle for the coffee ice cube. This charge does not appear in the price letter that has been submitted. I have made the claim and requested the Claim Sheet which I will file tomorrow at the OMIC. The Waiter has Behaved Very Right and Pro at All Times.

Best ice cream in Alicante with a big choice! We were there every single day of our trip!We chose take away ice cream, I tried to have a coffee one time there but after waiting 10 minutes, no one took an order so we left. So rude. But the ice cream was great!

A Tasty Stop!

Beautiful venue. Excellent location with the possibility of being served on outdoor tables on Plaza Portal de Elche. Attentive and courteous service. The ice cream is excellent, tasty and high quality. Wide variety of flavors and choice of typical cakes.

The waitress was super nice and it was a good dish! The crepes were magical and the chai latte included! Cozy to sit next to the park with trees and plants and at the same time be able to watch people walking by

Don’t go for ice lattes

Ice latte in here means normal coffee with milk and ice cubes. They didn’t even mix the coffee and milk, so at least we drank only coffee and then only milk. Don’t recommend.

AMAZING milkshake

Loved my Nutella / stracchiatella milkshake and caramel macaron 🫶🏻 would have been 5 stars but the staff was very impatient and cold and the outdoor seating was loud and crowded. The menu and food is a 5 stars though!

Disappointing experience

We had high expectations and were eager to try many flavours as based on reviews this venue seemed almost perfect. Unfortunately, the gelato we had was far from good :( we had 7 flavours: Ferrero - too sweet and watery strawberry - sweeter than expected but OK, edible Green apple - extremely sweet with strong artificial apple taste; Strawberry cheesecake - very sweet, the flavour was good though Pistachio - extremely sweet Berry - ok Cookie - too sweet, hardly any flavour to it, all went to bin We have at least 2 gelato venues in Glasgow which serve much better tasting icecream. Cafe con leche was quite poor considering the coffee machine they have and what can be done with it. We had a way better coffee in McCafe in Saler shopping centre in Valencia the other day which was quite a surprise. Everyone was smoking on the outdoor terrace which was very unpleasant as no one in our family smokes. There is no designated smoking area, so be prepared to enjoy a cloud of thirdhand fumes surrounding you from all sides. Overall very disappointing experience. There are multiple gelato venues in the area, we would not be visiting this one the next time.
