We love the feeling of this restaurant! Me and my husband took our two year old son came to have lunch, as soon as we went in, our son was attracted by the live guitar music. And the other family already there are very welcome us to join them to enjoy the music. It feels like going back to mom's... More

If, like us, you have a fondness for more traditional and authentic local places when in Spain, you should check this out if in Alicante. We stumbled across this place whilst wandering around Alicante old town. Love this sort of place; a bit way back in the old town so as not to be spoiled by mass tourists, retaining a... More

Enjoyed a lovely meal here and experienced local Spanish fayre at a reasonable price. Although we don't speak Spanish, we were able to order a 'Three Menu' fish and chicken tapas selection with the generous help of the resident musician - a Canadian classical guitarist who entertained us throughout the evening. The selections (EUR18 each) started with a ham/cheese selection,... More

We came across this taberna by chance at lunchtime. We called in for red wine from Alicante and were offered several delicious tapas alongside the wine. We were so impressed that we decided to return for our evening meal. We had a number of tapas to start followed by a delicious paella. All the food was seasoned beautifully. We thought... More

We enjoy this restaurant so much that we stayed overnight in Alicante in order enjoy dinner in the evening and then a lunch the following day! Both met our expectations. We always leave it to our host (the Chef) to bring a selection of various tapas (all home made) followed by a main course and have always enjoyed what has... More

Short version: Simply great, if you eat one place in Alicante, East here. Long version: Let me preface this with a couple things. First, we are not super outgoing. Second, or Spanish is mostly worthless, so we feel a bit out of place and awkward in all Spanish restaurants. Combine that with a brand new town, a Spanish menu, Spanish... More

Food was good, lacked a bit of atmosphere, mainly because the lights were so bright and it was a quiet night. There is no English menu, so unless your Spanish is good, it's a bit 'pot Luck'! It's a small menu, so you won't go far wrong!!

Decent but less than 10 steps up is a Bar which mostly locals go, the food and drinks are really good. The people are really friendly and the art of the wall is fantastic.

Booked a table here via "the fork" found it with little trouble, up near the old town. The food was great, I had tapas & a plate, we also had a 1/2 portion of the acorn fed iberico ham & manchego, my wife had steak. The food was great, for my main plate I choose the fish option. We did... More
