We have dined at Els Vents several times and always had a great evening. However, our visit last week was special. Tomas had organised a "Vega Sicilia" dinner. We arrived to a setting of three Valbeuna wines - 2010, 2008, 2006 vintages and two of the Unico - the 2003 and the 2016 bottled Reserva Especial which is a blend... More

When we were there last week, it was fantastic. The personnel is super-nice, the food is just awesome. You get specialities like nowhere other in Alicante. I recommend the "vierias" and the "cabrito asado". My expectations were pretty much blown. The price is, compared to the Monastrell for example, is very super modest. We had a full blown menu with... Nearby the Casino and overlooking the harbour, there's a small street with lots of restaurants. Looking up, to the first floor you will find this lovely and fine restaurant with good quality sea food and wonderful tapas! to very acceptable prices.

After all the good reviews we expected a lot. However, the experience at Els Vents was a bit a of a disappointment. First of all, the unexperienced staff makes the service far from what is needed in such a restaurant (with Michelin star aspirations). The atmosphere was very formal and uncomfortable, staff was not very friendly. The view on Alicante... More

Thank you very much for visiting us, we feel that your experience in our hotel was not pleasant at 100%, for us it's a shame. We hope that we return to give another opportunity to change your impression about us. A greeting. More

Having visited this restaurant in mid May I can agree with previous reviewers that Els Vents is certainly a hidden gem for food lovers who enjoy fine dining. The restaurant is quite rightly included in the Michelin Red book [food lovers’ bible]. We ate here 2 nights during our stay in Alicante and enjoyed an excellent ‘journey’ through an inventive... So glad to return to Els Vents. I really like this chef, he is very imaginative in his use of flavours. The location could not be better and I was well looked after by Tomas Moreno and his staff. I started with the alcachofas y capellan followed by the sashimi de atun and then salmonetes con ravioli de foie y... More

We went to this restaurant advised by my brother-in-law, that works in the restaurant business. He told us that Els Vents maitre (Tomas) is one of the best in Alicante. And he was absolutely right. The service was outstanding. The place and specially the views of the harbor and the Santa Barbara Castle, amazing. Tomas guided us through the menu... More

Still amazed just how few reviews there are for this restaurant. Anyway I returned for a second visit and this time I had the tasting menu. At €55 this is very good value and the wine pairing at €18 was also super. This must be one of the best locations to eat in the city. For those looking at the... More

Delicious, extraordinary, outstanding was the food. Innovative creations prepared with fabulous ingredients. We had for example oysters with iced pinapple and red pepper, which was fantastic. Or artichokes with foie - unbeatable. Service was attentive and very friendly, our glasses never been empty. Good choice on the wine list too, we just have been little disappointed that two of our...
