The food was delicious but I’ve honestly never felt more unwelcome in a restaurant.
We were served by a young blonde waitress who clearly and unfortunately hated her job. We had booked a table but requested to switch tables upon arrival but was told bluntly that the other table was reserved even though there was no sign or the table laid. 40 mins in and no one had turned up to the ‘reserved’ but nicer table by the water so my girlfriend very politely requested again. Her response, “No, what is your problem?” I was genuinely in shock. We really should have left at that point.
If you want a level of service that matches the bill and the quality of the food, then try a different dining experience. This was an experience...but not a good one.

Amazing location and view, food is okay and quite expensive. Black cuttlefish risotto seemed to be drowning in the liquid ink, the marinated prawns were nothing special and very pricy. The server was friendly but clearly tried to push us to order multiple very expensive items.

We tried this restaurant for dinner the second night in Komiza after a very unpleasant meal at another restaurant. This place was great! Took a reservation on the lower terrace overlooking the water for our group of 11. Very attentive waiter and staff to go with the beautiful view. Our waiter suggested we let him create a combination plate of cold appetizers and main course based on the number of guests and it was amazing. You can pick the serving size up front to make sure you get the amount you want. All seafood was fresh and very good and it was accompanied by an amazing fish dish! We went back a second night as the steaks and lamb looked amazing at tables around us and that did not disappoint either. Go to Konoba Barba and enjoy dinner while the sun sets behind you and lights up Komiza!!

Defenitly OVERPRICED!!! I was charged 80 Eur for two Sea basses- 2 Brancin, one side dish, one bottle of 0.75 water and 2 dcl of wine. I ordered 2 times 1 dcl of wine or. 1 glass two times, and they charged me as 3 dcl of wine. The waitress explained that it is not possible to order fish under 0.5 kg per person. Two medium-sized fish were charged as 1 kg of fish.
The restuarant is only for celebrities.

I have never left a negative review before, but left this place feeling absolutely robbed. My partner and I went in for a light dinner/snack after eating heavy all day. It was cold so we ordered soup and grilled veggies. The vegetable soup was way too salty to eat, and the fish soup was a let down. So we were looking forward to the veggies. They were doust in so much oil (before the grill and after as it's good in front of us) that we couldnt finish them either. To top it all off, they had also served us anchovies and 2 olives as a starter (we assumed it was free as we didnt order it) but were charged on the bill 20 kuna each for this. I left the restaurant feeling so sick and spending so much money for horrible food and paying for things we hadn't even ordered. Cocktails also very weak.

We had a special Fish Plate for two persons, which wasn’t on the diner card. Really delicious and fresh! The view over the harbor is stunning! The service staff is kind and gentle and quite attentive! The prices are elevated but totally worth it. Would eat there again!

We had a recommendation for a restaurant, I called before arriving and asked if they had fresh tuna and what the price was. the tuna we were served was ruined because they overcooked it, we complained to the waiter and he just said, sorry. the biggest shock was at the end when we got the bill, the tuna steaks we got were cca 300 grams at most, but they charged us coldly after only 1 kg of tuna. Uffff

Terrace with the view on the old town and the sea ..... summer breeze and the sound of crickets. Wonderful atmosphere and even better food!
For an appetizer we took Vis bread/pie traditional dish of the island of Vis and prosciutto from Tuna that we have never tried before. it’s hard to say which appetizer was better because it was both delicious.
Main course fresh fish Kovač and side dishes. definitely the tastiest fish we have ever eaten! for dessert ‘rozata’ and chocolate cake fromcarob. in oneword the perfect dinner!

The food was made without any passion…
Boring and not nice looking.
The fish of today had a nice taste and was correct made on the grill.
If you decide to eat at this restaurant, turn down the expectations and enjoy an ordinary restaurant.

You’re basically paying for the view. Food was overpriced and over-simplistic. What is advertised as “soup” is actually a bouillon with 4 little pieces of fish, some undercooked rice and a spoonful of parsley. Fish is priced by the weight, yet you’ll never know if truthfully. No desert catches the eye (they didn’t have one of them).
Service would be better in a pizzeria.
Really, don’t waste your money here.

A few things were wonderfull; the view and the staff. The food was fine, but not great. Especially NOT worth the price. We ordered two starters,a bottle of wine and two fishes with vegetables and Fries. Most things were priced high but ok, the two fishes however Costed 660 Kuna! Meaning over 90 euro's for two simple grilled fish. Ridiculous. Total Bill 1290 Kuna or 171,20 euro's. Totally overpriced.

Delicious. Went here a couple of times. They prepare delicious fish on firewood grill. They made for us a wonderful plate of fish, scampi and squid. Also, their octopus “peka” style was unbelievably good. And the staff is very friendly. Definitely coming back.

Traditionally below average. Fish that is not fresh on the island. French fires from freezer. Old lemons on island that lemons are grooving everywhere.
Place to definitely avoid. We said that fish was bad and waiter said it is end of the season. That should escause for old fish. Sour eggplant’s because chef is not aware that eggplants should be salted for couple of minutes before cooking. However typical Croatian mentality, take money from tourists as mush as you can. Complete disaster. Avoid at all cost! Not value for money!

Attention Awards have increased considerably! And even the weight of the fish becomes enormous! We’d give you about a kilo per person, it’s the magic scales, the Awards necessarily soar, count 150€ for two shares.
I fell back on the lamb, I thought it was the bowl of Medor!
What a pity because the site is beautiful with a splendid sea view, which unfortunately does not make us forget that we laugh at the customer, and that we scam him.
