After a week in every sort of restaurant in Oaxaca, I have to say that this place has too much hype. The food is just good but nothing spectacular, I have tried better places in Oaxaca. Perhaps Anthony Bourdain made them famous because one can...More

We had a wonderful time. Beautiful space. The sisters gave us a demonstration of how they go about preparing wool for weaving and then showing us how the weaving is done. Dressed in traditional clothes. As a large group we were given a wonderful homestyle...More

I had read some negative reviews about this place. I'm not sure why. The sisters were unbelievably friendly. Showed us around, talked about the food. And it was truly a new experience of pre-Columbian food. Not to be missed. Follow my instagram at @dean.hammer

We've eaten here twice in our travels. One of the most delicious and compelling eating adventures we've ever had.

If you are anywhere near this restaurant, YOU MUST GO!. The restaurant is run by five sisters, They made a special vegetarian luncheon for us and everything was great. We could not have had a warmer or more delicious experience.

Excellent Mexican and Zapotec (native Indian) cuisine, prepared by a delightful chef, Abigail Mendoza Ruiz, who has been written up in the NY Times, Saveur magazine and other publications. Excellent!
