The Black Olive has been under new ownership for just over a year and as regular (weekly) diners for the past 3 and a half years we have noted significant improvement over the past year. Food preparation is undertaken by the owner who follows through with the customer once the meal has been served. The menu is sufficiently broad to... More

A lovely evening starting with a healthy serve of grilled mushrooms, followed by mains of steak / fish, capped of with don pedro's all washed down with the recommended red wine. Somehow we missed the black olives! Although nothing was outstanding, the overall experience was very satisfactory and it's somewhere we'd recommend.

They served delicious black olives as a table snack which is also available to buy in jars to take home. I absolutely loved their coffee that is being supplied by Steam Punk Coffee Roasters. Everyone at the table was satisfied by their quick service and tasty meals. Prices are affordable. Had a lovely time!

the new owners are really making a big difference. Friendly Lady greats you at the door. Menu has some good options, for every taste. Make sure you book on Fridays night as it is fairly busy.

Enjoyed a nice light lunch of fish and chips and burgers. Lots of food considering the prices. And good service too.

Had lunch at this restaurant and enjoyed the service. The portion sizes were great, but I'm afraid the Fish (overlooked) and French Fries were a bit oily!

I really enjoyed the friendly service and we sat outside in the mist because it was very pleasant and the temperature was great. Being curry fanatics we ordered the lamb curry and it took me down memoiry lane to my younger days when I lived in Durban and my mother made curry. The lamb curry here reminded me so much... More
