Worth the money

It was a business occasion in this beautiful place surrounded by nature. The chief Luka is well known for his food skill and ideas. Food was delicious, very kind and professional waitresses. Definitely worth the money!

Good food, nice atmosphere

We chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner and we were happy that we made a good choice because the food was excellent. We ordered steaks, liver with spatzle noodles and fish with Slovenian-style potatoes mashed with vegetables. We were served some complimentary starters before our main course, and we also ordered Kaiserschmarrn pancakes, chocolate cake and panna cotta for dessert. Service was very good as expected from a restaurant on the Michelin guide where our waitress explained every dish and was very attentive. We also liked the very quiet location of the restaurant in a small village not far from Ljubljana.

Wonderful, Michelin-rated, food at a very reasonable price.

We were staying at the adjacent hotel for one night, with a very early flight out the next morning, and this was the convenient option for dinner. It turns out it was MUCH better than just convenient. This restaurant was one of the best we had during our 2+ weeks in Slovenia, Italy, and Croatia. It's definitely earned its Michelin rating. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable. Even with several glasses of wine included, the total for two of us was under US$110. The chef here really knows their stuff.

First & amazing expirience

As a Couple we were at this restaurant for the first time. Of course our expectation was high, as it has Michelin awards. We had an Autumn menu, with a wide selection of dishes. The food was very delicious and the staff was very polited. The surroundings is beautiful and peaceful, as it is a part of Green Village near Alps. We will come back and also We absolutely recomended this amazing restaurant.

(ENG / SLO) Fusion of flavours, the degustation menu for summer (july 2023) is very good. We have been here 3 years ago and as back then, the menu and the food doesn't disappoint. The ingredients are tasty and very well combined, also the combination of different appetizers, main dishes and desserts is just perfect. I came here very hungry, and went home full, so if you think you'll go home hungry, you are mistaken. Degustation menu costs 42 €, glass of wine about 4,5 €. The staff was very friendly and informative. Very nice ambient and peaceful environment, surrounding. Odlično, kakor 3 leta nazaj, je bila tudi tokrat hrana - kombinacija sestavin, okusov, jedi odlična. Izbrala sva degustacijski menu, s 4 hodi, dodatno na začetku dobiš še pozdrav iz kuhinje. Meni stane 42 €, kozarec vina okoli 4,5 € - na osebo. Imajo tudi običajen menibz več različnimi jedmi. Na večerjo sem prišel zelo lačen in domov odšel sit, če bi kdo mislil, da bi zaradi količine posamezne jedi odšel domov lačen, se moti, če izbereš jed s 4 (verjetno tudi 3) hodi, se boste zagotovo dobro najedli. Dobra izbira tudi za tiste kateri imajo Zvezdar ali Select box, za tega ne dobiš poseben menu, ampak se znesek vrednosti bona odšteje od končne cene, kar je super, ker lahko poskusiš celoten meni (namesto npr. kakšen prilagojeni menu samo za bon). Zelo lep ambient in mirna okolica, osebje prijazno in razloži sestavo vsake jedi.

A hidden gem!

A lovely country location but only a few minutes from the airport by car. A beautiful estate with a superb restaurant and lovely staff - so helpful, cheerful and efficient. Our room was large - immaculately clean - with nice touches like a jar of local honey for a ‘sweet stay’ and very comfortable beds. You do get woken at 7 am by the church bells close by but as we had to go to airport early we did not mind! There was a cookery school going on in part of the outside grounds which looked a lot of fun. We highly recommend as a stopover near to airport or for longer stay not far from Bled and Ljubljana.

Great sea food and awful red meat

I have eaten here 5 times this year and all together probably 15 times or more... everytime the same story, fish or sea food is great and read meat is terrible... if i ordered a steak it was allways very chewy and usuall if i ordered medium done it was well done... today i had bread and dear meat for main corse... it was aufull, it was like a goulash with to many spices in it and a bad meat...but on the other hand my wife had an octopus and it was great, she liked it a lot... I allways say that this is the last time i ty red meat there, but i am a steak guy and i allways get burned... and i go to this place so many times because it is near our company and it is very suitable to take buissines partneres for lunch there....

Great food in a warm environment

The restaurant is placed in a very nice surrounding of this mansion. It serves very locally inspired food in a simple 'homey' atmosphere. The food was traditional Slovenian with a modern hint, and the menu is very cleverly prepared. The service was also extremely nice and the wine recommendation was excellent.

Lacks flavour

I was very keen to try this restaurant due to the excellent reviews it has been getting. First the good news. The restaurant itself is pleasantly situated, the service was excellent the menu very interesting and the prices very reasonable. We chose a variety of dishes ranging from the rather unusual to the more standard. Everything was perfectly cooked (the escallope was rather average) and beautifully presented. The chef is obviously well trained. Unfortunately each dish was tasteless. This was a great disappointment and I am at a loss to explain this. I cannot, therefore, recommend this restaurant.

We can agree it is really hard to meet all of our guest taste, but as you could see from how our dishes our presented we are really trying. Doggy bag

It looks like when the boss is not around the food gets very plain and tastleess. The chefs are loking on their mobiles instead of cooking. The famous food "jetrca" was uneatable and sour. I asked for a doggy bag for our pet, if she will like the leftovers. I got a fancy dogy bag with inscription "to good to leave it there?" But nobody ask me why I didn't eat the food.
