Busy café for the obvious reason and recommend you get there early or prepare yourself to wait if you don't. There's nothing spectacular about the food but the place itself is in a great spot. You can sit inside behind the all glass wall or outside; the service is pretty good. Easy to find and parking on Beaconsfield Parade is... More

Very attentive and friendly staff, the food is nice but limited choices for vegans (true of most places though). The coffees are rich and strong 👌 and of course the location is brilliant.

Our group of 12 enjoyed a great bunch at the Sandbar. Although the cafe appeared 80% full, our meals were served within 10-15 minutes, which surprised us. The meals were reasonably priced and good value for money. For those visiting with elderly or immobile family/friends, the majority of the cafes seating is positioned down half a dozen steps. Dogs are... More

Yummy food and good coffee. The menu was pretty extensive and offered a good range of food. It was good to have a few specials that were great for the change in weather. Good service.

We met interstate friends for a late lunch on Grand Prix Saturday. We were surprised to find plenty of parking available so that was a bonus. The venue suited us perfectly. We had s lovely view to admire whilst catching up with our friends. The system is simple. A chalk number on the table is all you need to be... More

We had the best Seafood Paella here. It arrived at our table piping hot & packed with heaps of seafood & flavour. The staff are very friendly & efficient. This cafe has a great vibe & the location is perfect right on the sandy beach overlooking Port Melbourne & for those visiting here during the cooler weather there are plenty... More

The food and service that we had today had to be the worst we have ever had. The staff didn't want to be there and the salad I had was all carrot and lettuce with not much else. No dressing and no flavour. The panini when toasted was dry like sand - my wife's noodle salad was pathetic and flavourless... More

Went for a morning walk from St Kilda to Port Melbourne and stoped here for some breakfast. The selection was huge and with the sort of dishes you would expect to see at a fine hotel. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavor was amazing. A great view overlooking the beach and bay to boot.

Came here for lunch with my daughter, brand new grandbaby and GR dog. Got a fantastic table under shady umbrella looking onto magnificent view of beach and water. This is where it unfortunately stopped for us 😩 latte just ok, too hot and bitter. Chicken BLT was terrible value @$22 with almost stale bread, white lettuce, hardly any tomato, chicken... More

We came here for breakfast - great views as right on the beach but it was too cold and windy to sit outside and even quite cold inside. The seats were also cold when you sat down - metal chairs. You have to go up to te counter and order and they don't allow any substitutions for anything on the... More
