I was amazed to find a great selection of teas, and had a pot of Darjeeling which was excellent and served very quickly. This is very rare in a Hungarian cake shop - usually these places focus entirely on coffee and hot chocolate (the locals...are generally ignoratn of good tea). The cake selection was top draw too, on the expensive side but worth it. Apparently the coffee and hot chocolate were also good, according to my family. The surroundings were also very special, with period decor and furniture, not reproduction tack. The staff were very attentive, friendly and quick. I cannot fault the place.More

It's a sensationally wonderful place. The cakes are amazing, and the attendance was perfect. The people there are used to smile and to entertain personal relationships.

a hidden Hungarian gem. Their chocolates are simply to die for. Their bonbons are fabulous. DO NOT MISS IT!

Lovely patisserie with an amazing old fashioned atmosphere. Delicious cakes, however they are a bit overpriced.

It's a lovely place with a variety of cakes. Nice staff and delicious desserts. Not the cheapest in town but definitely worth a visit.

We spent a long weekend in the beautiful town of Gyula and had to visit this place twice during this short stay - a return is a must 😊 All the cakes and other lovely sweets were marvellous, staff was kind and helpful, will definitely...go back there if we can.More

Huge selection of cakes. We tried 4 of them and they were really delicious, great flavours. They also make handmade bon bons (chocolates), they were great too. Classical interior design, there is even a small confectionery museum inside. Very nice waiters and nice outside area...(dogs allowed too). A must visit in Gyula.More

Gyula maybe a bit out of the way for most foreign visitors to Hungary, but this cafe alone makes a visit worthwhile: Immaculate service, delicious cakes and coffee in unhurried local atmosphere. Beats the much more touristy equivalents in Budapest and Vienna any day.

The building is nicely renovated, the historical interior creates a pleasant atmosphere. It's in the centre in a quiet street. The cakes and cafe are good but not exceptional.

We have just enjoyed some ice cream and coffee here. The 2nd oldest confectionery and ice cream parlour in Hungary, founded in 1840. The ice creams were truly fantastic, coffee superb. Beautiful original wall decorations. Amazing!
