We came to Il Cavatappi with three children aged 2-8 and four adults, and they managed to cater very well to all our needs. The children enjoyed their spaghetti while the grown ups had the best meat we have eaten for a long time. The waiter brought crayons and paper so that the children could make some drawings, nice touch!

This was not our first time here. We enjoy visiting Tarquinia when in Italy and always return. The food was excellent and the charm of the place just adds to our visit. The town is small and it is easy to find. There are a number of good places to eat but this is one of our favoriate. Will be... More

Bonding rural tastes and the excellence of Maremma traditions, I found the cozy Cavatappi the perfect place to spend a few hours with very friends in one of the most beautiful roman villages ever. Cherished ingredients handled with care combined with real delightful local vines, come along with an experienced and professional staff, welcoming you with a pleasant and informal... More

Was taken by a friend of the owner to this well hidden restaurant in the old centre of Tarquinia. Being a vegetarian they needed flexibilty from the menu and they succeded well. The charming owner helped me on alternatives and it was well prepared. The recommended whine lived well up to my high expectations and sitting outside near the fountain... More

very hospitable, and characteristic menu with a twist. Highly recommend it especially if you appreciate meat based meal and great dessert.

this is a tiny restaurant located in the old section of Tarquinia. The food, while not bad, lacked something flavor wise - maybe just a hint of salt. But it all tasted that way to me. From the sauce on the pasta (which was a tad watery, maybe from having been frozen at some point) to the filet in green... More

We visited this place on two occasions. ( one night after the other). The first night was good and the food was nice, atmosphere was great and staff were excellent, they allowed us to wait for a table outside and gave us nibbles and drinks ( which we had to pay for). The food however is not outstanding and not... More

Authentic cuisine from the Maremma. Situated on a very interesting piazza and in the center of the historical center, is the perfect combination of ambiance and dining experience. The wine selection is good, mostly the best of the local wineries but also selected labels for the connoisseurs of medium priced wines. The menu is traditional but with a creative twist... More

Excellent food. The standard menu is quite short and is completed by a daily menu I've been there close to ten times and never been disapointed. The wine list is decent. But I'm not a connoisseur. Service is very friendly and knowledgable. Love it.

Very enjoyable evening, great food, friendly waitress/owner, interesting artifacts on the walls giving the place a warm old-time feeling.
