Restaurant is clean and the staff does well with the service, but they need work on the quality of the food. My daughter had the chicken yakitori and it was undercooked and a little bit bland. I had the tempura soba soup. The tempura was very good, but the soup broth was very greasy and very bland. Extensive menu with good options but just need to step up the quality.

Delicious sushi

This is my second time to go YAMA dinner. I love to their BARCA(Sushi & 刺身）because it was very fresh, tender and juicy. MUST GO their again later on.

Great sushi

I'm a regular client and I love sushi at Yama. It's really good! People are not always nice because they super stressed and they not really into Italian (language) but the food it's worth it. I always spend lovely evenings

Very good atmosphere and food

I have been several times with my family, the dishes served with care and the food very good. Friendly and helpful waiters. I appreciate the tastefully furnished place and above all because they don't offer the "all you can eat" menu, like other similar restaurants, where it feels like being in a canteen. The restaurant is a level above the others in the area.

Go straight and don't go in

I started thinking about this review while waiting for over thirty minutes for the first dish I ordered to be served. My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, we sit down and after ordering we wait, wait and wait. All this waiting was not repaid by the quality of the products offered. Normal dishes, which in no way justify the high price paid. No longer to be taken into consideration.

Too long to get our food, fiscal receipt compulsory !!!!

I’m and have been client for many years. Yesterday we were there with our family. The food good as usual but the waiting time completely over the logic. We arrived at 20:30 after having booked in the “veranda” that is nicer and less noisy. We were sited in another place, fortunately we saw 4 people leaving and could be sited were we liked. In the meantime we chose the dishes but no one ask . We waited for more than 30. Minutes for our drinks. Then we start playing to spend the time. We start seeing plates pass but none for us. After more than an hour from Our arrival we received our starters. Then waiting again for the mains … more than another hour.( from The starters) Personnel very nice but some problem in the kitchen, I can understand but they need to make it clear. Again when paying they tried to give us a non fiscal receipt, I needed to ask. Not sure if will be back, I need to forget this experience. Obviously we left without the coffee at 23:15.

Excellent fresh lobster salad and all other dishes were excellent. Duck, ordered in advance, absolutely excellent, and the catering is also recommended. We always enjoy coming to Yama because of the friendly service.

Was a very positive experience as always. Place was packed (as always) but having made a reservation our table was ready on the dot. Food excellent as always. Service professional and quick. Realy good experience and added to a fabulous evening.

Fabulous place ...

Best Japanese restaurant in the region, by far. We come here regularly with family and friends and have done so for a large number of years. Have never been disappointed. Very good quality fish, nice variation in dishes, both in sushi as other dishes.

The menu has a large range of dishes from noodles to dumplings to sushi. If you like sushi the sushi boat is a great way to sample their freshly made sushi - more than enough for two people. Pleasant outdoor dining area with lots of space

bad and slow service

Waiters are very slow, it took 1h to receive our first plate and the restaurant wasnt even full! Every time I go the sushi is worse. Bad service, sushi not that great, normal prices!

I didn't know what to expect, having heard both bad and good about this restaurant. The sushi was very good, I really enjoyed it. However, the service was slow and the waiters were never smiling.

Reliable sushi at reasonable prices.

Quite a large place, well suited to group gatherings. Huge selection of both cooked and raw dishes. All pretty standard and generic with any particular flair. The toro was pretty good and not easy to find. Eel also tasty. Tempura dishes were light and crispy. The a la carte dishes tend to be a bit better than the 'selections' or the 'boats' and the prices are very reasonable. Good selection of popular Japanese beers and some saki. Slightly annoyed they didn't bring a fork for my 3 year old without having to ask for it.
