Located at km7 on the road to Casares from the coast, just by the junction with the Estepona road, this fully modernised Venta has lovely views across from its big picture window. Second only to Venta Vixtoria further up the road. But where it really wins out is a thoughtfully put together menu da dia, excellently prepared and well presented.... More

Lovely pace in a nice setting - good food and wine choice - staff not so good - had to ask for our wine three times and then it was plonked down on the table without a word spoken! Guy taking our order was not even looking our way while we were ordering! Found him very rude indeed! Told him... More

We visited 4th June. We drove up the hill from the coast and parked in the tight spaces available. We ordered from the menu del dia, which is a three course meal for €13 but with plenty of choices within , for example we had a choice of three different salad starters or a soup, or stew. The main was... More

A lovely little gem in the hills behind the coast. Very busy, booking highly recommended. Food is very good and new 2015 menu starts tomorrow can't wait. This is a real find with local sourced typical Spanish food with a modern twist. I have. Wen here a good few times and it's just great. A good place for 4 or... More

The food was wonderful, a really interesting and varied menu with plenty of eclectic choices and local dishes. A lovely setting with indoor and outdoor areas and delicious cocktails. Service could at times be a little slow but was typically laid back in the Spanish style and very friendly.

This restaurant has massively improved. Nice outside space for pre drinks with outside and under cover seating available. Warm welcome, very attentive service throughout. It was a tad chilly outdoors when we took drinks and we were supplied with cosy wraps...(nice touch, probably adopted the idea from my fav restaurant locally The Forge). Lovely views over beautiful countryside from large... More

We visited this restaurant at lunchtime today and if we were not leaving Casares tomorrow would be heading back for a number of meals! Menu del dia extremely good value with a vast array of choices for all three courses. Presentation and quality of the food was superb! The atmosphere was pleasant with helpful and attentive serving staff. The staff... More

We sat in the main room of Venta Garcia, with great views over the surrounding countryside. I ate a mango, avocado, salmon and bacon salad and then pork with crackling and apple sauce - a special of the day. Both dishes were just as good as each other, and really were of top quality. Host Juan Jésus is very welcoming... More

We visit Estepona every 4-6 weeks and always make a reservation at Venta Garcia. The food is superb with an excellent choice of fresh fish specials (usually at least 3) and meat dishes too. The owner is very attentive and the service is always first rate. There is a lovely chill out area for pre dinner cocktails and the restaurant... More

This is a beautifully located roadside restaurant on the road up to Casares, about 7km inland. It has a great picture window overlooking the hills and a terrace for dining in summer. The food is contemporary Spanish and excellent - and the wine list is not only very good, but also very reasonably priced. Great venue for a special occasion.... More
