I don't eat much Indian so was a little lost on reading the menu. Accompanied by my vegan niece there were lots of options for us both to have a tasty and enjoyable meal. I ate a lamb based starter which was delicious and tender with just enough spice, followed by a chicken special, with Naan, rice and poppadums. Excellent... More

The service here was good and friendly. Sites in a lovely little avenue. Try to order some nice spicy food. The biriyani comes in a balti which is quite interesting.

The food is delicious and indulgent but it always missing part of the order, it is a pain to wait for it to be delivered. This is a reoccurring theme and easily fixed for a great experience. Visiting the restaurant, it is nice but its been empty the time we went there. Best for takeaway.

I went to Akash with a friend Friday night. I thought that the food was very fresh and beautifully presented. It took some time for the food to arrive but it was worth the wait. I believe that the reason for the wait is that they prepare each item individually as it is ordered.. Some menu items I had not... More

We visited the Akash restaurant in Blackrock recently for dinner as we had a voucher that was running out of time. We had no great expectations but were pleasantly surprised. No raised eyebrows when we presented the voucher (in fact extremely good service from waiter), pleasant surroundings and, most importantly, good food. Indian restaurants are judged by their sauces and... More

Went there with a few friends, the place was almost empty with only one table occupied. The prices are steep compared to Brick Lane or other UK curry restaurants ..but this is Dublin Overall the poppadoms were fine, Cobra beers were chilled. We order 3 mains pilau rice and naan.. 10 bottles of Cobra and food was E92. A bargain... More

Visted with a party of 5 on a Thursday evening. It was really quiet, but there was lovely atmosphere to the place. Service was good, our waiter was very nice and welcoming. Menu has plenty to choose from, and there is also an early bird that has a good selection to choose from. Food tasted excellent, they ask how spicy... More
