We visited while staying nearby with relatives, having previously dined here while staying in the lodges by the loch. On both e occasions the dining experience was fabulous. The food innovative, fresh and so full of flavour. The tasting menu we each had was skilfully designed to hit all your taste buds - which it did with perfection. The staff... More

Recently returned here for a lovely meal with family. Not as good as our last meal here 6 months ago but still very good. Apple and chestnut dessert was a big miss for all of us though the cherry and chocolate dessert afterwards was stunning. Great staff. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Bit odd seeing hotel staff using guest toilets in... More

Located within Cameron House, this One Michelin Star Restaurant features a tasting menu. 6 of us had the 6 course tasting menu with the accompanying 6 glasses of wine. With a number of Amuse-bouche before the 6 courses there is more than enough food served. Tasting menus are normally a lot of fun, interesting and informative, as was this meal.... More

Dined here in June 2013 while we were staying at Cameron House. The atmosphere of the restaurant is sophisticated although not stuffy. Very relaxing and never feeling stuffy or too posh. The staff were really professional, polite and very attentive, there was nothing outside of their knowledge/remit. When I asked regarding my ceoliac requirements there wasn't even a hesitation (which... More

Lunch here was to finish a lovely weekend with friends. What amazing value it is, especially if you stick to drinking the delicious local water, which if you live south of the border, you most certainly have a mind too. We were driving afterwards so that was the main reason. A choice of two items for each course, was offered... More

As per the title of my review I have to say the food was excellent. We visited for the tasting menu for dinner and every course was fantastic and they were very accommodating for those on our table who did not like fish. The portions could have been done with being a little bigger in my opinion although I do... More

This place never lets you down! A really brilliant lunch. Generous and varied amuse bouche, additional course and petit fours, all added to a magnificent meal. We had the menu du Jour, with matching wines. Spectacular deer tortellini, followed by one of the best duck mains I've had. Lovely wines, with excellent service from sommelier & all other staff. Best... More

We visited this great restaurant again yesterday for lunch. Six of us at a lovely table beautifully set and presented. Chris the manager welcomed us and soon his staff were busy attending our table. As always the service was smooth, quiet, and very fast without any of us feeling rushed in any way. The lunch menu was perfect with great... More

We opted for the 8 course tasting menu. Service was fantastic, and all of the dishes were gorgeous. Yes it’s expensive, but it really was worth it. I loved the foie gras. Unfortunately it’s not something I could do regularly, but definitely for the next big special occasion.

I'm never sure whether to bother writing a review for a restaurant that, by and large, tends to get very positive feedback, when all I'm going to do is agree with the masses. However, this meal deserves a mention because it reached the standards I have experienced in other Michelin star restaurants. When you choose to undertake a tasting menu... More

Description
Edinburghs esteemed chef, Martin Wishart, has added a touch of Michelin-starred luxury to the already impressive Cameron House a stylish hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond. Head Chef Stewart Boyles worked with Martin in the kitchen at Restaurant Martin Wishart, so its no surprise that the food here is similarly flawless. The menu features elegant French dishes like roast John Dory forestire with truffle jus; Jerusalem artichoke velout with langoustines; and a lighter-than-air passion fruit souffl. The restaurant itself is light and airy with striped chairs, comfortable banquettes and shades of taupe and plum creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The attentive service, unpretentious atmosphere and thoughtfully chosen wine list complete this unforgettable dining experience.
