There was a good mix of locals and visitors. Very friendly staff. Ecletic decor. Easy to find in the square. The scones were freshly made and a good range of cakes looked appetising. Bonus to get a coffee refill. The soup and bread were just right.

Myself, mam and 6 year old daughter popped into Tea & Tipple for lunch last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu is not massive but I don't think it needs to be. I think they have just the right amount of choice. We all had sandwiches. The quality of ingredients was great. I knew my daughter would not be... More

This is a very popular venue in Corbridge the staff are alway very friendly the scones are baked fresh everyday. As are the cakes fresh in everyday a bonus is you get a free top up of filter coffee which makes it reasonable compared to other places. Sandwiches are made freshly to order and are very good.

They provide good snack lunches at very reasonable prices, and unusual for a tea room, you can have beer or wine. Strongly recommended for a quick meal.

The cafe was fine, the staff were pleasant enough. We ordered two prawn, salmon and avocado salads. When they arrived we were so disappointed, a handful of mixed leaves decent portion of salmon, about 4 prawns, small fan of avocado and a couple of slivers of peppers. I felt jealous as my mother had one strand of red onion! The... More

The coffee and cakes were tasty, but the staff were sullen and unfriendly. Not one smile. Felt very unwelcome as a visitor passing through.

I absolutely love this cafe - we also stop off here on our way north. The cakes are amazing and they have RUSSIAN SLICE! Ooh it is to die for and something I haven't seen since childhood - moist pink and multi-coloured. If you've ever had it you'll know what I mean. I love the ambience - there is a... More
