We changed to find this restaurant in a brief visit to Corbridge. My wife was in a wheelchair at the time but they were very accomodating. Not busy at lunch time so good attentive service. We liked the look and the price of the lunchtime fixed price menu. We had the chicken liver pate, fried whitbait followed by the crab... More

We visited Il Piccolo on Saturday afternoon we didn't have a reservation but the staff found a table for us, the staff are all friendly, approachable and very knowledgable about the menu. I had the most incredible garlic prawns as a starter, they were fresh and huge almost a main course, the then had Pollo el Creme as a main... More

Popped in for a quick lunch and we weren't disappointed. Really friendly welcome and a good selection of Italian dishes. We both had excellent pizzas for a very reasonable price. When I came to pay I was in for a surprise - the waitress refused a tip and said she would rather that we came back again when we were... More

We were here on Saturday night for last orders at 8:30. They were extremely busy, the service wasn’t great, the food wasn’t either, (they had run out of lasagne), the sauce on my crab ravioli was too runny and, truthfully, almost tasteless.

I visit Corbridge every few weeks and had this Italian restaurant recommended to me a while ago so thought I'd give it a try for lunch. The set lunch menu was priced at £10.95 for 2 courses with starters being soup, pate or whitebait. The choice of main course is a "small" pizza or pasta from the main menu. Not... More

Il Piccolo is a well-established Italian restaurant, run by Sicilian chef, Manuele Orto, wife Pam, and their friendly team. The restaurant is flanked by its intimate Stuzzico wine and tapas bar on the left and an airy delicatessen and ice cream parlour on the right. Corbridge is a beautiful village by the River Tyne, near Hadrian's Wall, full of independent shops to browse.
