This was a stop over on our way back down South from Shropshire. We booked in and paid for the room just after 5pm. The staff gave us our keys and TV remote control? told us our room was upstairs. Once we got to the first floor the numbers only went to 22, the staff member was showing another... read more

The lovely location of Brackley, is great for visitors to Silverstonei. The Crown Holel is so steeped in history like this lovely Market Town. The rooms are so clean, and the staff very attentive. Dinner in the Reataurant, is a joy to behold. A relaxing evening, with an excellent list of Refreshments, to accompany any meal. My recent visit to... More

I stopped on the off-chance for lunch at this hotel, and was impressed by the food and the service. There was a log fire alight in the lounge, so it was warm and welcoming. I can recommend this as a good place to eat.

Disappointing, called in for some Saturday lunch with friends. Two of us ordered from the menu ham egg and chips, we got bacon egg and chips, due to the staff not fully understanding the English language it was impossible to make them understand what the issue was. Problems with the other two meals, place was very badly over cooked, Drinks... More

This is seventies style food quality in a 'restaurant' that is hardly fit for purpose. Very dated, sticky tables, bare carpet. The whole place needs a thorough revamp including the kitchen. Service very slow and there was hardly anyone there.

Had lunch today the 23rd August. Beef undercooked. Gammon was good. No roast potatoes at 1.45pm. Cabbage not able to describe what it looked like. Parsnips they forgot to boil before trying to roast them. Hard in the middle. New potatoes hard in the middle as was the broccoli in supposedly a sauce which had separated and had turned into... Had the lamb shoulder from the bar menu in the evening, which was, albeit massive, largely fat and gristle with the meat looking very grey. Lumpy, unseasoned mash with, to be fair, well cooked veg. Selection of drinks was lacking; service was generally good. Not great, not terrible.

Breakfast very limited and no choice for anything healthy (apart from a small bowl of fruit salad). Dinner - had fish & chips - fish was full of bones... no idea why people batter cod without removing the bones?! Just annoying and wasn't enjoyable. Piri Piri chicken was OK, as was the Scampi. Just average really.
