Our local guide and two guide books said that this was a great place to eat. It did not disappoint! We went here for lunch and shortly after they opened, they were very busy. It offers a variety of dishes from fish, steak, homemade pasta,...burgers and salads. Get a table by the front of the restaurant for great oceans views over Hanga Roa Bay. My husband had the fresh seafood salad while I had a very rich crab souffle. Both were excellent and service was good. We had a wine and beer plus our meals for a cost of $50. Prices are higher for restaurants on the island.More

Went to Haka Honu as it was recommended by hotel staff (Hotel Boutique La Perouse, practically next door) and it did not disappoint! Delicious and super fresh food and great service!!! My wife ordered a tuna ceviche and I had a grilled tuna steak. There...was always people eating in there every time we walked by... that tells you something!More

Nicely located overlooking the ocean. Tasty ceviche with these purple local sweet potato, a glass of carmenere (local red wine). Defintely recommend! Accepts cards (often rare on the island).

Not very long menu they have but good quality of food, we tried grilled fish and fish with papaya chutney and both were just delicious. Carpaccio and chicken salad was also ok. Portions are quite big. Prices are above average but you are on the...island where practically everything except fish is imported. The day was rainy and roof was leaking a bit :) There are not so many tables - not more than 10 as far as I remember. At least 4 of them have direct ocean/ harbour view. Service was friendly and attentive. They do accept credit cards.More

The restaurant has a nice view of the fishers bay . All dishes were excellent but the menu felt limited in seafood variety .

We visited many restaurants but Haka Honu has it all--delicious food (large portion too), a nice view, friendly staff, and oh, those pineapple pisco sours!

Fabulous sea front restaurant with excellent friendly and prompt service. We shared the octopus salad and tuna ceviche and both were beautifully presented, fresh and tasty. Great Pisco sour too. Would definitely eat there again!

We loved our dinner at Hama Honu. Beautiful view and great service, too. The tuna carpaccio was delicious and very generous.

We were looking for a spot with a view and good food. Haha Honu did not disappoint. We had a seat overlooking the ocean, right on main street. It's busy, but so fun to people watch while having a drink and an appetizer. We decide...to share the local fish ceviche. There was more than enough for the two of us and it didn't disappoint. The service was both friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.More

We had dinner here twice and were very satisfied both times. The green salad was okay (nothing special), the ceviche, calamares, tuna carpaccio and burger were really tasty. Staff is very kind and the view on the ocean/bay definitely a plus.
