We were on a trip to the island from Lanzarote and stopped by here for lunch. We were the only guests inside. Another couple came in but left twenty minutes later as no one took their order. We ordered and my partner had the sole...which he said was lovely. A family came in and then another two couples. After ten minutes we asked where my meal was, they must have forgotten because the family were served and another couple before I got mine, by this time my partner had finished his meal! I mentioned this and the waiter just shrugged his shoulders. As we were conscious of time I had to leave my meal half eaten to get back. There are plenty of other restaurants here to choose from so avoid this one! They don’t deserve tourist customers.More

Dinner with a view on the old harbor of el Cotillo, this restaurant certainly has the beauty of its position on its side. Unfortunately it's a different story for food and service: acceptable fish soup and Gambas were followed by a poor and hard-to-digest pulpo...a la Gallega, an old tuna based tataki and a weird pulpo a la plancha. On the same vibe, service was over the top arrogant and pushy. We hope it was a bad evening and we are sure this restaurant will find the way to exploit all the potential and beauty of el Cotillo and its traditional cusine!More

Unable to get anyone to come.amd give us the bill, if they had if come over we may have stayed for desert/...more drinks, but due to noise poor service just wanted to get out. Such a shame as food was great.More

I and my boyfriend didn’t have a ‘pleasure’ to eat in the restaurant. Upon arrival there was no free tables, however we saw people leaving and asked waiter if we could take it. He said ‘yes, five minutes’. We stood in the sun to get...the table, but then suddenly the group of 5 people came and approached the table. The waiter came to us to say there is no free space anymore and sitted the group of five. I can imagine that 5 people would bring more profit rather than two, but it also shows its level of service.More

If I could give this “restaurant” a BIG FAT ZERO - I would have. We had a coffee there earlier in the day and booked a table upstairs for later. We had asked at the time of booking if they could provide a chicken and...vegetable paella. They said they could, took our names and fixed a time. When we arrived the table we had booked was already given away. We were given a corner table as “the only table available”. We were hungry after a long walk on the beach...and accepted the table. When they came to take the order we again told them of our earlier discussion and ordered a chicken / vegetable paella. Some thirty minutes later we were given a sea food paella with 3-4 tiny pieces of chicken / beef. More than 95% was seafood. I’m allergic to some types of shell seafood but that wasn’t the concern of the restaurant owners / managers. When we said to the waitress this wasn’t what we ordered. We were told that this is what they could provide. We were told either wait a further 30 minutes but no guarantee as the kitchen maybe closed by then. The attached pic shows the “chicken and vegetable” paella - basically, seafood. When I spoke to the original person with who we had booked the table and confirmed that they could provide a chicken / vegetable paella - we were told not to “complain” by waving a hand to show we did not order the dish delivered. The owner / manager than proceeded to shout at me that I should “show some respect”. We were gobsmacked! A chicken and vegetable paella is apparently in this restaurant the same as a seafood paella with a few bits of chicken and meat! Eventually, they offered us not to pay for the paella we didn’t order but no apologies for the rudeness and indifference we experienced. I am sure all restaurants have had major issues in this Covid 19 surreal world, however, if business owners believe they can abuse customers, serve food that wasn’t ordered, show utter contempt for their guests then they cannot blame Covid 19 when their businesses falter. This was an experience unlike any I have ever had in any restaurant. If you like to be abused, have whatever you’ve ordered replaced by the whim of the restaurant then sure, you’ll love this place and service. If, however, you have a modicum of self respect and expect to be served what you’ve ordered, then AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!More

I always check reviews. I saw the review mentioning frozen bread and put it down to christmas being busy. We ordered chicken and nuggets for our small children. Half way through one my kids said they didnt like it . I took a bite and...the chicken was not cooked. Absolutely disgusted. How can you not cook chicken nuggets? We left having had our starter a drinks. They brought the bill and didnt charge for the nuggets. Given they had ruined our entire meal I was surprised they felt fit to charge for the rest. I had croquettes and was also unwell that night. The other starter was parma ham which was nice . There are so many nice restaurants in the area it was a complete disappointment.More

Cotillo has many decent restaurants that serve local food and a good price and quality, this on the face it is one. I’m fair as a reviewer, all restaurants have a bad day or bad service, It’s what they do when issues arise that makes...difference. As a family we attended the restaurant on Christmas Day, we ordered our food, firstly our bread arrived which all 10 of us started to eat, which we then found out was frozen in the middle. We sent it back, with ripped apart finger holes through them etc. 10 minutes later the roles come back. Amazingly the same ones!!!! We pick up the rolls not knowing who’s is who’s, and amazingly they are still frozen! They were sent back for a third time, this I’ve never experienced with such a high level of incompetence from the staff in my life! When they came back they were like molten rocks! And amazingly they were the same rolls again! With young children present and 45 minutes in we would of normally walked out but it was Christmas Day and we were very hungry. 1 hour and 15 minutes after we ordered all main courses and starters arrived at the same time. In mine and wife’s case our starters arrived after our mains! The steak which was ordered medium was rare, seafood platters weren’t warm. Not at any point were we offered any additional drinks. When it came to getting the bill after complaining about various things we were offered 7 euros of a €177 euro bill. They then after we objected increased that 10%, frankly it was quite insulating as the owner didn’t seem to care. My point in all of this was some of the food was pretty decent when it eventually came out and had our issues been dealt with i wouldn’t even be on here writing a review. But as the owner was there couldn’t deal with basic issues and as there is a number of other restaurants that serve identical food (which I’ve eaten in), why would you take the risk, the chance that they treat you as badly as they did us.More

Sorry for my late answer. You've probably found out by yourself already, but as I recall the dish was around or a bit over 30 € and impossibly large and gorgeous. We couldn't finish it, had to leave half of it uneaten. Bye!
