Enjoyed a great lunch here after a morning on the beach. Attentive and friendly service and a well cooked fresh fish platter for two to share. Chocolate mousse and local twist on creme brulee were both hits for dessert. Spectacular view outside on the upstairs...terrace an added bonus.More

Worst restaurant experience of the Canarian Islands!! Staff incompetent and unfriendly. We took a paella, the waiter offered us to serve our plates, and probably annoyed about that he just threw food in our plates and on the table! Completely unprofessional. Food was ordinary, nothing...special.More

Coincidentally, we had met the owner when our rental car had a flat tire on a secluded beach where we went to kite surf. He stopped, called a tow truck, and spent about 20 minutes with us. Turns out this restaurant was recommended to us...as a place to go for our son's birthday. A real surprise to see that man again. But the restaurant was above a gorgeous inlet with spectacular views. The fish and appetizers were especially good along with other things on the menu (there were six of us and a one year old) that were delicious. Great wine, Lots of diners there.More

Eat on the terrace if you can, with stunning views of the bay. Good variety of food and a little different to what you normally see. Very tasty cerviche and baby squid. Would return. Just a shame about the smoker starting up - glad we...were about to leave.More

We first went to this restaurant a few years back and was really pleased with food and service. Went back during our recent holiday and was very disappointed with service and food. Service: The waiters very poor had to ask for drinks so gave up....Food: Duck was cold and had to be sent back. prawn avocado- 3 prawns and about half of avocado. not worth money. 2 Rib eye steaks with peppercorn sauce. both my husband and son had to scrape off the sauce as they said it was sour and tasted of orange. The only resemblance of the sauce was the peppercorns. I had fish which was ok. nothing much. It was our most expensive bill and the worst food of our holiday. will not be wasting our petrol or money in going back. My in-laws have been to this restaurant many many times and have also said never again. Such a shame.More

Perfectly acceptable meal but also a little pricey. On balance, I would recommend as we did have a nice evening.

We were recommended this restaurant by a German couple we played golf with last week. It’s in a lovely harbour setting. We had the local grilled catch of the day which was sea bream and fried seafood, both of which were lovely. Would define recommend.

La Vaca Azul ( The Blue Cow) is an amazing restaurant for fresh Sea Food . It has seating both inside and outside with views of the small black sand/rocky cove and out to the Atlantic. It is in the centre of the Old Town...and as such is full of character and surrounded by a range of other excellent restaurants should the Blue Cow be full and you cant wait. It is easy to spot as there is a large Blue Cow right above it. Don’t ask me why a restaurant in a small fishing village on an island with no cows is called The Blue Cow, I have no idea. 🙂 All meals are excellent, not only the sea food, and the staff are really friendly and accommodating. Parking is somewhat of a problem given it is in the Old Town with narrow streets. There is ample parking outside the El Cortillo Football Stadium which you pass on the only road into the town and it is not too far a walk down to Old Town. In about 5 mins. The roads cater for wheelchairs as does the restaurant. Some closer parking can be found next to the college but only for about 8 vehicles. If you ae visiting El Cortillo, then the Blue Cow is certainly one of the top restaurants and excellent value for money. Especially for lovers of Sea Food as the food is caught that same day from local fishermen.More

Lovely meal and location but service only so-so. It seems that’s to be expected and it was a very busy evening.

Had lunch here. A beautiful location with nice seaview terrace at the top. Menus is simple but enough variety. We ordered paella which was not great ( a bit burned).

Hi. Yes the peppers stuffed with fish are still on the menu. I haven't tried them personally but hope they are still as good as you remember!
