This is one of the best Italian restaurants at which I have eaten outside Italy. The portion sizes are very generous as the manager warns you prior to ordering. The Ladies in our party were satisfied with "starter" portions for their main course. I have never managed a desert at Rossini, but they sound and look delicious. The location is... More

Moored our Narrowboat outside restaurant. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and seated with a view of the river. With the chefs compliments we had the most delicious soup prior to our ordered starters and main courses. We were too full to try the desserts. The service was friendly and quietly attentive. We decided it was the best... More

This has to be one of the most beautifully located restaurants in the country. The view ahead to the river from our table was spectacular. The view to the right, less so : a wicker fence against which the chef and other kitchen staff lent for the numerous cigarette breaks, or swan-feeding sessions, they took during our meal. The maître... More

Love the location and of course the Italian cuisine. Food is amazing ..really worth a visit or twenty. Service very attentive. By the river so the area is very tranquil. Just great for a romantic meal.

Wow, what a fabulous lunch.... So very Italian. Do as we did, firstly relax take your time! Begin with a bottle of fizz sitting right on the waters edge whilst placing your order (weather permitting!) then move into the restaurant when they are ready for you. We found the food was stunningly perfect. Points worth mentioning, the Mozzarella was absolutely... More

Spotted this Italian riverside restaurant during a boating holiday. Having noticed it had a mooring platform we phoned ahead to book a table and asked if we could moor overnight too. The restaurant could not have been more helpful. The three-course meal itself was excellent in every way, the service most attentive by all the staff involved, particularly the head... More

We were a party of 13 from the African Queen (Thames Cruise). Our orders had been telephoned through, and written on small slips of paper, so there could be no mistakes. Two of the elderly people in our party had meals forced upon them which they clearly had not ordered by a very rude waiter, This left two of our... More

Great location and food, service slow - but we were happy to enjoy the view and pre late lunch drinks. Great menu and staff were helpful (if a little slow). Food was as always excellent - we shall return

Visited as part of a group from The African Queen floating hotel. Food was well presented but service a little slow and not sure how to take the comments about the desert. Was offered free drinks if we collectively forgo the dessert. Strange when you are on a two course menu.

Three of us had lunch here and it was really excellent. Firstly the location beside the Thames is unbeatable, and the food and service was first class. The Italian menu has some interesting variations on standard Italian fare and the portions are generous, but we still had enough room room for dessert.
