Wonderful home cooked Sunday lunch, good quality meat, fresh green veg, cauliflower cheese, roasties etc. Friendly attentive staff. The Bell has had a chequered past in recent years but at last has found a landlord who has turned it around and who has delivered an excellent lunch......looking forward to returning for an evening meal soon.

Served really quickly with drinks, orders taken and food arrived 10 minutes later. All freshly cooked (maybe not my lamb shank) and beautifully presented. Tables well spaced, linen napkins and chunky quality cutlery all added to it. Have been here before but this time we tried one of the £10 meals. Certainly good value. Only spoiled by a loud woman... We were staying in a rental cottage near by and saw this on passing. Stopped off to book a table for 7.30 that Saturday evening but were told they were so busy that they could only fit us in for 7.45 and that was a squeeze. Anyway we arrived up at 7.45 and were surprised that there were many tables... More

We went for Sunday Lunch. Value for money..Not. The service was pleasant but slow. One of our members asked for sugar for coffee and it only arrived after she had finished it. 2 courses for £20 is too expensive for what is basically standard fare. £14.95 or thereabouts for a a single vegetarian dish with heaps of mashed potato is... Today was my second visit to the Bell. It is by far my favourite place for a roast dinner. Everything is beautifully cooked and the portions are massive. Staff are polite and quite honestly I couldn't fault it! Don't be put off by any old reviews because I'm sure this place has changed hands many times; whatever they're doing now... More

Absolutely excellent food, impeccable service, lovely surroundings and good beer. What more can you ask for. By far the best restaurant we have been to in this whole area. Obviously run by serious professionals.

This was a last minute decision to visit here on our way home to Bradford on Avon. Daughter phoned in quite late on a Friday and they found us a table. Food and service were wonderful. A young lad was being trained and the main service girl asked if we were happy with that. He was hesitant but very good.... More

A lovely pub brougt back to life. The staff are friendly and it was very busy when we visited - might be worth booking at the weekends. Steak frites and mussels both @ £10 were good value. The pub is conveniently located on the A361 with ample parking space, making it an ideal place to stop off for lunch or... More

Love the way the have priced things. They have a separate menu where starters are £5 and mains are £10 or a specials menu at slightly more. I don't know how the portions compare other than one of our four had a huge bowl of mussels from the £10 menu. The Bell has been boarded up a few times over... More
