Lovely meal and friendly staff. Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant, especially since recent refurbishment. Looks much better now, more welcoming somehow.

We have family in the area so over the years have popped in to The Pilot Boat on numerous occasions . Following a dog walk on a chilly misty day we decided to pop in for a coffee. We have not visited since George handed over the reigns so were interested to see how things had changed. We were pleasantly... More

We come here often for drinks and food. The only thing I can say is amazing. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and sweet and always make an effort to interact with our 2 year old daughter. The atmosphere is friendly and warm and the food well, what can I say, superb, fresh and beautifully cooked every time. I actually... More

Just popped in for coffee which was good. Friendly staff and the food looked tasty. The pub itself looks a bit tired and the loos need a freshen up.

We were staying in Bembridge not far from the Pilot Boat. We had a drink in here on a couple of occasions, the real Ale is well kept and the staff pleasant. We ate on one night and enjoyed Freshly caught, freshly and well prepared fish and a burger. The other food we saw come out looked good as well.... More

We have passed this pub many many times and finally went in We thought that it was very overpriced (and we have been all over the island for many years) The food we had was very poor for the price

This is almost certainly a spoof review by a competitor jealous of our success, unlikely they have even been in the pub. We are not overpriced, we price match very carefully with our competitors in the area, there are no specifics about what they drank or ate, unfortunately there are a few sad losers who go round and do this... The staff were very welcoming, we were staying for 2 nights and the actual bedrooms were lovely, the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, coffee and tea facilities were available. We were disappointed with the restaurant the food was pretty average but quite expensive for what it was. The landlord made us very welcome in the mornings serving... More

Thanks for your kind words, I remember you well, apologies food not exactly right, if I recall you only had one small meal so perhaps a little unfair to judge on that but nevertheless all taken on board, come and see us again soon Best George More

We were expecting some quality pub food, but were quite disappointed for a couple of reasons. For one thing, the menu seems to have changed from the one on the website and they were not offering any lobster (for starters or mains). But more importantly, we ordered the scampi and chips and both seemed to have been from a freezer... More

Thanks for your review, and yes we do get very busy on a Friday night, I suppose it's a fine line between being rowdy and having atmosphere, being the most popular pub in Bembridge does bring a lot of people in, and a lot tend to be on holiday and relaxing and they can get a little overexcited, sorry the... We visited the Isle of Wight all the way from Texas, USA, and were taken to this Inn on two separate occasions for lunch. Both times the food was excellent and the service was pleasant and helpful. The second time ,though, we had the freshly caught Hake and chips and, quite honestly, it was the best fish and chips I've... More

The Pilot Boat Inn looks like a boat! The pub is on the edge of Bembridge Harbour and is popular with sailors, cyclists, walkers, families and locals. Everyone is very welcome. The Pilot Boat Inn is open every day throughout the year for food, drink and accommodation. The pub has five ensuite bedrooms for bed and breakfast. Close to the harbour and beaches, and within walking distance of the village shops, the pub is an ideal location from which to explore Bembridge or the Isle of Wight.
