An excellent family owned and run restaurant. Choice of dining areas, quayside, or inside. Fantastic food and service

Kod Guste is a local favorite. We eat here regularly. It's always busy, which is a good sign that the food is fresh. This is one of the best places for fish in the Zadar area. Fresh fish is expensive, so it's important to know...that so that you understand the pricing. The other difference at Kod Guste is that the fish is cooked over an open fire instead of a griddle/stove top, to me this is a "game changer". Some of our favorite dishes are the scampi risotto (to die for!), calamari (fried or grilled), and fish on the grill. Their salads are fresh and delicious. The staff at Kod Guste is mostly the family that owns it. They work non-stop! They are lovely people.More

We have been coming to your inn for many years, so this year we came especially for this purpose and got calamari roasted in old hot oil and a salad seasoned with vegeta, and we paid 130 euros for 4 people. It is a shame...that good inns turn into bad ones.More

The best food you can have around Zadar, service is professional and welcoming. Ingrediends are local, fresh and the food is delicious. Whoever wants to try honest taste of Dalmatian cousine should visit this place.Interior and location is stunning and authentic. I can't wait to...come back again.More

After reading some reviews we decided to check the place out. On entering there were 3 tables occupied and it sounded very loud. We were promptly left menus and the lady returned very quick to our table but went away without speaking to us as...she realised we hadn't yet selected our meal. However she didn't even ask about drinks. Eventually a waiter came over and as I had eaten fish several nights on the run I decided to go for veal, the waiter asked did I want it in sauce, asking what type of sauce he just said flour, oil and water so I just ordered it grilled. My husband had the Zargreba snitzel . We also had the house red and bottle of water. My husband said his snitzel was nice. Unfortunately my veal seemed to only be cooked one side, as it was jelly like underneath and stringy. Neither of us thought the house red was very pleasant unlike the one the night before in a nearby restaurant. Overall my experience was one of disappointment. The staff were quite indifferent and didn't even bother to enquire why I had left most of my veal. I gave it 3 stars as my husband enjoyed his meal, but not the service nor wine.More

We decided to treat ourselves on the last night of our holiday and booked a spot at the locally recommended Kod Guste restaurant. We only managed a main and one drink during the 2 hour visit due to the inattentive staff who just appeared to...ignore us. The food we had was good but I would not recommend simply on the incredibly poor service.More

They are a traditional local family business. Im sure they were great once. These days they have so many tourists that they dont need to provide you any quality service, yet they are full all the time. In the area you dont have a lot...of choices and they know it. Their waiters and waitresses are rude and very unfriendly. Food is nothing special and overpriced served by the most arrogant staff in the area.More

Excellent mediterranian food, for now the best in Zadar area. Our table was outside, would prefer inside but this wasn't a major issue.

The best black risotto ever! Excellent value for money - portions are really big and everything we tried was super tasty. The interior is very nice, real Dalmatian ambient. Staff excellent and fast. A must visit in Sukošan!

We were told by our hosts to check out the place as a nice restaurant for dinner. We went there without reservations…no chance. After making reservations for the next day, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Seafood was amazing, grilled in the back by the owner....Staff was super friendly and always keen to make sure we had everything. We made another reservation for a few days later and were just as satisfied as the first time. Final resume: fantastic family run business, out to make its patrons happy. Fresh seafood and meat dishes served by a friendly staff. Make your evening go smooth by making reservations the night before. Hands down one of the better places we have visited in Croatia. Also many locals frequent the placeMore

We tried to book a table on the terrace, but they didn't want to book us a table because "their guests don't care where they sit". And if we don’t want to sit at a table that is free, we don’t have to dine with...them at all. Fortunately in Sukosan there are a couple of good other restaurants. We will never consider this restaurant againMore

As we arrived the waiter was very nice. And we thought what a great view. By the time we choose the fresh fish, as if she knew we were staying, she thought she does not need to pretend to be nice anymore. Not only did...it take 30min to come back and ask us about the wine after trying it, which was not grandios and limited in choice. The worst part was the fish and side dish; the fish and calamari were left on the grill to dry- maybe they thought we needed to train our jaws in chewing, or they just didn’t care... tourists passing by. The fish and calamari were not properly cleaned inside!!! A no go for me!! Then the highlight was boring tasteless side dish of Boiled chard, potatoes and courgette. Conclusion: unfriendly waitress, horrible food, completely overpriced and they try to trick you with the weight of the fish to pay more! This restaurant really needs proper reviews, as it does not merit the 4.6 on trip adviser!More
