I've been going here since it was in its previous location in Kilmacud and really the food quality is excellent, if anything it gets better any time I visit. Service is always excellent too and the staff are very friendly. As an additional tip, the bartender is a great mixologist! - the last time we were there he made us... More

The experience every time i go is class from start to finish. The food really is phenomenal, blew me away. The staff there are incredible and the management very customer orientated. On one of our trips there my partner and I ordered a dish that turned out to be far too spicy - totally our misjudgment and we were even... More

This is a lovely restaurant and came highly recommended by my colleagues and did not disappoint. There was a large variety on the menu from the traditional favourites to different options. It is not cheap but we had a lovely evening.

Two of us met for Lunch. We had chicken starter and it was very generous portion. Had the beef which was recommended and it was very good. Welcome and service was top class. Looking forward to being back .

Have been here a few times and food has varied from tasty to terrible. Wasn't looking forward to last visit on this basis. Spring rolls were tasteless, but steamed fish was faultless. Wine mediocre and service was patchy (delays and drinked ordered but never arrived). May be in the top 3 restaurants in Sandyford, but only because its competitors are... More

The service is of a very high standard , prompt without being rushed and the food is really first class. my wife had the calamari starter one of the best she ever tasted my my mixed starter was also great. the... We recently visited this class little restaurant. From start to finish we enjoyed every last second of our visit. She had spring rolls to start, I had the soft shell crab. Both delicious but definitely the soft shell crab was a stand out dish blending delicious flavours and crunch with the almonds. Unfortunately they had sold out of the pork... More

I visited here with a friend and we both loved it. It has avery calming atmosphere. The staff are very efficient and friendly. The food was stunning. I had the duck salad to start & I would happily eat it for the rest of my life. Presentation was lovely too. I now need an excuse to travel to Sandford again... More

We've been coming here as a family for about 12 years now, it is and always has been our favourite restaurant in the country and would put some money on it for being the best chinese food in ireland! Everything from the food, customer service and even the atmosphere in general really does set the standard of the highest quality... More

Description
From Georgina Campbell's Ireland GuideThis restaurant has been Ireland’s benchmark Chinese restaurant for two generations, and is a previous recipient of this award. It should in perhaps be named The Phoenix as, not long after moving to new premises, this family-owned favourite closed last winter and appeared to be a victim of the recession. Then, to the delight of its many fans, it reopened in the summer of 2010 after a six month hiatus. And, to a collective sigh of relief, it soon transpired that its modern interpretations of classic Sichuan cuisine are better than ever: classic dishes like tea smoked duck have been tweaked and given updated presentation by the brigade of young chefs who are reinterpreting traditional Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine with modern style. A special section of "Chef's Recommendations" highlights the kitchen's authentic Sichuan dishes based on centuries old recipes – and well-versed servers explain dishes and their ingredients, offering to tone down the amounts of chilli oil, Sichuan pepper and hot oil, if requested. The layout of the modern dining room has been improved too - and, on fine days, the glass frontage opens onto an inviting outdoor terrace with umbrella tables and seating.
