We had lunch there with my daughter and grandchildren. Nothing was too much trouble for them and service was excellent. The prices at first seem above average but when you see and taste the quality of all of their food and also the portion size then you realise that they actually give you excellent value for money. Wonderful setting and... More

A great experience - lunch in a beautifully restored railway dining car. Table service and a good varied menu. The museum at the railway station is well worth a visit afterwards.

Call in at the dining car for a highland treat. Very friendly staff, quirky period rail dining car, and really good food. If you like railways you will enjoy the authentic location, if you like good views, you will be thrilled, but if you just like good food your taste buds will be tickled. We 4 visited twice in a... An old train dinning carriage used as café/restaurant, with great views from the "balcony" fitted outside it, makes for a very different, quirky, and fun setting for eating. We only had snacks (including really delicious home made fresh scones, normal & gluten free) but everything was simple, well made, and reasonably priced - well worth a visit in it's own... More

What a great place to eat. It's a dining wagon train, with a view on the valley. The food served its simple, but delicious. The toasties were served with a salad. The desserts were good. The staff was very helpful and kind.

We stopped here on the way to Mallaig, and it was a little gem. The little diner car transports you back in time as if you were on an old steam train, lovely photo opportunities! There is also great views from one side of the lovely forests. The food is reasonably priced for the remote location and quirkiness of the... More

Simple, homemade food in a lovely setting. I had the pulled pork toastie and my partner had the homemade soup and a toastie. Everything was delicious and very well presented. My partner has asked me to attempt to make the tomato and courgette soup he had but I doubt mine would be as good! Friendly, happy staff and quick service.... More

What a lovely experience, having a lunch in a railway carriage. The food was brilliant, especially the chocolate tiffin. It was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone, good wholesome food.

Stopped here on our recent road trip. An authentic railway carriage be used as a cafe. The lady working there was so helpful, her knowledge of the surrounding area was great. After a Wee chat, our coffee and breakfast buttie arrived (all cooked to order), so good on a dreich morning. We asked about the adjoining bunkhouse and were very... More
