Three of us had the menu del dia, the traditional food is beautifully presented and delicious. The fideua was made with thick noodles, a tasty sauce, and had lots of shellfish, I assume they were small scallops with tiny crab legs for flavor and presentation. The medium sized squid were perfectly cooked. They gave us a bottle of house red... More

What a relief to find genuine Mallorca cooking with a great value menu del dia. We especially loved the fideuá and estofado de ternera. After arriving in Port Pollenca and looking for a place to have lunch among the grubby kebab shops and Chinese take-aways, we'd almost given up and were heading out of town when we spotted El Posito.... I find it frustrating that a sandwich bar and an Indian restaurant are ahead of this great Mallorquin restaurant on the tripadvisor review list. We made four or five lunch time visits during October. They do a delicious bacalao (cod) menu during October. This is well worth a visit on its own! Locals outnumber tourists in this often bustling restaurant... More

El Posito isn't a restaurant you come across easily, it's tucked away behind the busier area in Puerto Pollensa. It's not particularly inviting from the outside or elegant on the inside but the food is fabulous. We went while they were doing a cod menu and thought the cod with tumbet was absolutely delicious, the prawns and octupus to start... More

If you are going to go here then definitely go at lunch time as it is far better value. The menu of the day displayed on the board outside is only available at lunch time and we made the mistake of booking for the evening to find this was not available. We were a party of 2 adults and 5... More

We ate here twice in our week stay, and will be back, this is the best restaurant we went to. Staff great, nice friendly atmosphere, food fantastic. Always busy so best to book ahead.

Went on recommendations, booking in advance, when we were given a flier for their cod extravaganza. Unfortunately this limited the menu but it was still okay for us, although carpaccio of cod was off as their slicer was broken. We had cod croquettes and lambs liver for starters followed by braised lamb and chicken with timber. The boss didn't like... More

We followed the positive reviews on here and were glad we did. On a general note, the head waiter (a family member I would guess) has a striking similarity to Nick Knowles - both visually and temperamentally - and, on reflection, this was a bit like eating on location with DiY SOS running behind schedule. But in a good way!... More

We were recommended to try the menu of the day at 11 or 12€ but the day we went there was a special lunch menu at 20€ but one course included lobster. This seemed to draw the crowds, mainly local people and they had to turn people away. The surroundings are quite modest and the service was fast and furious... More

Based on the strongly positive reviews, we made it a point to visit this restaurant and found it somewhat disappointing. Starters of house salad (filled with anchovies) and Frito malorquin (diced liver, potatoes & onion) were reasonably tasty. The mains of baked John Dory went wrong with a gloopy onion-y sauce that mostly overwhelmed the fish. The restaurant interior is... More
