We recently stayed at the Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort Tuscany property, and were looking for some additional "local flavor" after the nice meal we'd had the night before in-town, so we again walked into town to partake in this Michelin-starred dining experience. There was...both inside and outside seating, but due to the chilly nature of the evening we chose to eat indoors. I'd heard that this restaurant was attached to an accompanying butcher shop, and that their steaks were to die for...so that was our meal game plan! We started things off with some wine and cicchetti, then they came to the table with some exquisite cuts of beef for us to choose from. We took the "upgraded" path and ordered a thick cut t-bone steak along with sides of sautéed field greens, potatoes and fried mushrooms. As it turns out, our eyes were much bigger than our stomachs, as it was soooo much food! But, every bite was delicious and satisfying so of course we ate it all. The steak was cooked to a medium-rare perfection and the charred exterior made for smoky and sizzling bites that were meant to be savored. Good thing we got a ride back to the hotel, as both my wife and I were in food coma heaven after this meal!More

Family owned and run with their own hogs and fabulous supply of great beef. Started with homemade prosciutto and continued on to Florentine steak, which was done absolutely perfectly. Friendly staff. Outdoor seating on the patio. Not cheap, but well worth it.

Our favorite panini in Italy😍 Delicious meats, cheeses and tasty bread 🥖 Friendly, exceptional service with a smile. Loved the house vino and flavored teas. The hostess happily translated into English for us and it was much appreciated 🥰 worth checking out 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Delicious and succulent meat - plus other goodies too! Excellent dining. Also try their mini take-away and eat-in on a few stools in Corsa Roma, Montecatini Terme. Happy staff, spotless and those warm rolls!...

We went to Il Maialetto to eat a fiorentina and we choose wisely: great steak, also with the butcher showing the whole piece of meat and explaining how it’s going to be done. To visit!

This butcher appears to have expanded in to restaurants in town. Super food, wonderful service and great value. Yes it's not 'cheap' but the quality is 100x better than what you get in Firenze for this price. Very much recommend this, make sure to have...some grappa after dinner.More

Good restaurant if you like porc meat. We were the only tourists here, it was full of local people which is positive because they know as no other where the best restaurants are.

I drop by Il Maialetto each time I visit Montecatini alto and it has long been a must for me and my friends. Since I really appreciate their beef, on my way back home I buy some kg of fiorentina, salsiccia and prosciutto toscano. The...wine selection is quite good and honestly the recharge is very low, which is a plus. Well done.More

Visited twice whilst staying near Monsummano Terme. Obviously popular and busy with locals which speaks volumes. Two courses 30 euros for water, house wine, starter and fiorentina style steak. In line with the rest of the ambience the staff were informal and pleasant. It's not...fine dining but if it's quality together with value you're looking for, give it a go.More

Visited this place last night. Great friendly service. Had the fiorentina here best I had in Tuscany. They actually bring you the meat to the table and you choose how big you want your steak to be. Also had the dessert which was really nothing...special. After dinner coffee was on the house. Great restaurant.More

This restaurant came highly recommended by locals and we were not disappointed. The steaks were truly succulent and portion sizes very generous. Great value for money too.
