Family owned and run with their own hogs and fabulous supply of great beef. Started with homemade prosciutto and continued on to Florentine steak, which was done absolutely perfectly. Friendly staff. Outdoor seating on the patio. Not cheap, but well worth it.

Finally a place to eat like at home!

We took the platter of cold cuts and pickles.
Absolutely crazy! The flavors are the same as when we butcher the pig.
After tasting these I had to change my mind about the judgment given to other places...
Then we had the steak.
The idea of arriving with the "trolley of ribs" was very nice and excellent advice from the owner who directed us to the one that was a little fatter and therefore tastier.
Steak cooked to perfection and tasted divine.
Speaking of wines... they have a cellar that you would never expect from such a place. Very very well stocked.

I happen to stop in this fantastic butcher's/bistro in Monsummano Terme while passing through on business and I always find it fantastic, both for the story it tells of an old butcher's shop and for the service and the quality of the meat on offer. Simple and quick dishes, no long or complex lunches, simple and essential menu, obviously meat courses and appetizers with the addition of cheeses.
Fresh, genuine products processed and treated directly by them. Possibility to collect and purchase meat also for remote shipments. Price-expense always aligned with the quality of service-place and food. Good guys

Nice environment, we took a tasting platter which was of quality but the price was too high, as the menu does not show the price per portion but the cost per hectogram...! We took a Florentine (Maschio) with a price that did not justify the quality. We also pointed out that the grill where the Fiorentina had been cooked had an unpleasant taste and smell and had released a strange flavor to the meat so much so that we were able to finish it. We should have known, a table reservation is definitely advisable. Despite not having a reservation, we were greeted in a friendly and courteous manner and offered an alternative place to sit. We gladly accepted this and were not disappointed. We were shown various pieces of meat of the highest quality and given the desired amount for further preparation. Very very nice place!!! We had dinner at the piglet after so much to hear about.... Expectations have all been met!!! 1 steak in the fillet (to call it good ... is to offend it ... 😋) then, with the guy who comes there to cut it in front of you, is the top!!cmq .. 2 baked potatoes .. 1 bottle of real barco , 1 cantucci and vinsanto , 2 coffees, 1 Montenegro, 1 water, 130€ !!! Spectacular tavern, good and welcoming young people, professionalism not to be taken for granted. We stayed two evenings because we wanted to try more dishes. It goes without saying that meat reigns supreme (Fiorentina), but in reality all the dishes tasted (tartar, Florentine tripe, panzanella, chocolate fondant) were well executed and satisfying. Good selection of labels and the half bottles make the difference. A beautiful corner of Tuscany that will remain in our hearts. Well done!

Well what can I say! CHAPEAU all the way...I was at this place last night, hosted by my best friend to celebrate his 11 year wedding anniversary. We took a tasting starter (excellent cured meats, sublime hand-cut ham) and I took the pork tartare with burrata as a main course... burrata not as heavy as I imagined. I ended up with profiterols and coffee. I will definitely return to try the other dishes. Highly recommended for meat lovers

After several years, we chose together with our friends to come back here ... I must say that I did not remember eating such a good steak !!!!!!! We took as an appetizer meatballs with sauce and a basket of burrata and raw with figs to share and then a nice steak for everyone with roast potatoes, white beans and gardener side dish!!!! Everything delicious!!!! Super tender and tasty meat! Our children, instead, opted for lasagna, even the delicious ones!!!!! Like dessert, vinsanto and cantucci, salted caramel cheesecake and a berry cheesecake! All delicious! Recommendation!!!
