This may be the best food I ate in several years! The decoration of the restaurant is what I expect of every real greek taverna on Cyclades but with a nice, not tacky touch. The concept of the restautant is like meze dishes, order several little dishes and share. We ordered the Aegan salad, Fava with caramelized onions, cod with beetroot, grilled feta cheese in honey-superb! And ofcourse the house white wine, really good! We had to make a reservation in advance as this is one of the most liked restaurants on Paros. The staff is so niceee :))

The food here was just incredible! We have been eating out across Europe and the USA for some years now, and this was by far in the top two best meals ever - on par with our dinner in Ronda, Spain. We started with the hot Feta cheese in a ceramic pot with tomatoes, pimiento and chillis. We shared one as the portion was big! Then my wife had the Grilled Stone Bass on a bed of sautéed seasonal greens, with onion, garlic, cherry tomatoes, olive oil and lemon. Sounds good? Then multiply that by 10! For me, I had the Sea Bass fillet, pan sautéed in butter and olive oil, with capers, and served with warm potato salad. For both of us, this was by far the best fish dish we have ever had anywhere - and we have had many of them. Then came the piece de resistance - the dessert. On the recommendation of our server, we both went for the Phyllo dough rolls stuffed with almonds in honey syrup and served with Mastic ice cream. To accompany our meal we chose a local Moraitis Estates Reserve red wine which was excellent. The bill for two of us, including the wine which was €40, came to €107 all in. That’s what I call real value. A fabulous meal, great staff, and a table by the water. So good that we have booked again for this coming Friday evening!

Markakis is one of the best restaurants in the island and beats hands down a lot of the competition in Naoussa and Paroikia. They use fresh local ingredients, cooked really well and presented beautifully. We have been numerous times for lunch and dinner, and in every single one of them, the food was outstanding. If you want to try proper Greek food and especially seafood and fish, you have to visit.

Fantastic coastal restaurant on the waters edge with beautiful views of the beach and waterway. Fresh food and great service. I ordered the Traditional Greek Salad and just enjoyed the fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, shampire and capers along with the Feta cheese. I also ordered the bread with a spread and olives. Nice light lunch. My partner ordered the Greek Cheese covered with Panko and fried. Looked and smelled wonderful. Service is very friendly, and the prices were fair charging about 7.50 euro for my salad.

Set right on the edge of the pier, this restaurant has a great ambience. I highly recommend the prawn in spicy sauce to start followed by the prawn risotto. We also had the tuna steak, which was ok, but the risotto definitely stood out.

Took a short drive from our hotel to this restaurant and was totally worth it. The fish was incredibly fresh. They showed me the fresh fish options in the back sitting in ice which was a unique experience. The fried cod fish is a must get. Think crab cakes but with cod and super fresh. The shrimp in spicy maranera and cheese was also a winner. Only downside was just five pieces of shrimp. We're definitely coming back. Pro tip, make a reservation or come early. This place books up!

My wife and I ate her late afternoon on a Sunday. The restaurant was busy yet we were able to find a lovely table right at the water's edge. We ordered dolmades to share as a starter and we both decided to have the slow cooked lamb knuckle that was cooked in treacle, pomegranate, garlic and thyme. Oh my goodness. What a plate of pure quality. Served simply with roasted potatoes the lamb was unxious, sticky, tender and packed full of flavour. We LOVED it.

Typical Greek fish tavern, on the sea with a very varied and massive menu but at the same time everything tastes great. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Recommend to book early and ask a table by the sea. Very fairly priced and great place throughout.

Beautifully decorated restaurant and welcome in French. We chose a vegetable mezze menu for 18 euros and a dish recommended by the waitress for 10 euros. Mezzes all very good (++ mention for the eggplant puree and samphire) The dish is an eggplant millefeuille with feta mousse and tomato sauce...fried eggplants...usually not a fan of fried foods, here it is light and the tomato sauce highlights the dish...very good! Restaurant well located on the quay and reasonable prices...fish dishes are a little more expensive and a vegan menu is available. The only downside was that the bread charged at 1.50 euros per person was not up to par at all...

A quaint seafood restaurant in the charming sea food capital of Paros. I was told they had the best seafood on the island and they surpassed any preconceived notions I had of this being another tourist trap due to the location smack bang on the quay side. The seafood at this restaurant is of higher quality than anything I’ve had back in Britain at a fraction of the cost. We were staying in Naoussa and made a special effort to venture down to Piso Livardi and it was worth the trip. The food here eclipsed the sea food at the port in Naousa and was roughly half the price. Please go and visit and enjoy the fabulous food on offer, you will be suitably impressed and supporting the local independent restauranters.

One of the best meals we ate in Paros in a great location in Piso Livadi. Located on the water front, I would recommend booking ahead as many people turned away. Fantastic service - would recommend the Grilled Sea Bass, Chicken Souvlaki and local Rose wine. For once, meals were not served with chips/fries but with local rice and veg. Excellent quality!

Our son got married in naoussa this past July and we had 80 of our friends and family attend. We had organized dinners around the island during the week of the wedding. I had called the lovely owner of this wonderful restaurant and got such a great rapport with her on the telephone I decided to book a dinner there for 52 of our guests. Markakis did not disappoint! It is situated on the water in Piso Livadi, offering a stunning view while we ate the most delicious set menu that the fantastic chefs had prepared for us. It is family owned this little jewel, and they gave us the warmest reception and made us feel right at home. The staff were excellent and so accommodating to all our requests. I cannot say enough about the food….I am greek born and I can attest that this restaurant is not a tourist trap in any way. Fresh fish, local ingredients and authentic greek flavors along with amazing people behind these are what made this my new favorite restaurant on this island. I would eat there over and over again! Everyone must eat here! Bravo to the whole staff and looking forward to seeing you again!

Freshest seafood in Paros. We came here for lunch and dinner. Everything we tried was outstanding. My personal favorites were the cod cakes, seared tuna and the fried eggplant. We tried other restaurants in the area including Halaris but Markakis was hands down our favorite. Service, food choices and overall experience was great. Make a reservation if you’re coming for dinner.

The best fish and seafood prepared by the charming owner/head-chef Mrs Maria in a beautifully picturesque setting right by the harbour. The team is lovely, the wine list has wonderful options and the view is perfectly romantic. Highly recommend Markakis to all food lovers!
