So we actually ate at the tavern almost everyday we stayed in kissamoss at least once. It's very reasonable and food is just done well. We tried something different every time and I don't think we were ever disappointed. It's nice to just be able to pick a random item off a menu and have it done well. Seafood mixed... More

Tasty and cheap dinner overall here at Cellar Tavern. I had a nice Mousakka and fried calamari. Nice Balaklava as dessert and then Raki and small additional dessert for free in perfect greek style. All of it, with the sea next to you.

We were drawn in by the friendly enthusiastic, albeit pushy girl who was touting for customers, a couple of weeks ago, whilst on holiday in Kissamos The restaurant was busy with lots of outdoor diners The menu looked interesting with a huge variety of choices, including local specialities We were given a waterfront table and it was a beautiful balmy... Well what can I say the best tavern along the sea front! Food is sensational! Staff are beyond all expectations!! They are so friendly it's like they have welcomed you into their home! You honestly couldn't ask for better food or drinks. We were only here for 4 nights and we decided to come back twice as the food was... More

We had late lunch here, tzaziki, taramasalata, cheese saganaki, grilled feta and keftedes. Tarama was dissapointing, tzaziki very good, keftedes lacked spices, feta and saganaki vere very good. Service was ok, bit slow even there were only few customers. The wiev was super, just beside the sea and pricing was ok.

My wife and I went there for dinner. The local specialities were quickly prepared and they were delicious. The seafront view is great, especially at the sunset!

This is a lovely restaurant, on the seafront with friendly English speaking staff. The food is typical Cretan fare and good value. The stunning setting just adds to the enjoyment. Highly recommended.

Sitting on the seawall at Kissamos the Cellar is a taverna we always come back to. Menu is much more varied than other places with really interesting local dishes. However I always go for the cuttlefish cooked with fennel and olives. It comes served with potatoes stewed with a little tomato and heated with cuttlefish. It is superb. The fennel... More
