Food was delicious, staff friendly and prices reasonable. Fish was fresh, traditional liver dumpling soup was looking weird, but was tasty.

Loved our meal here! Hungarian goulash to start… delicious then a duck dish on roasted vegetables in sesame oil and a pork dish-bacon roulade. Hungarian wine amazing. Prices fair ( cheap for us from Australia) . Waiter little English but he really tried hard for...us… of course we had no Hungarian! Highly recommend you go out of your way to eat here.More
little food and poorly prepared satisfactory service but little sympathy but in general in this city people are not very sympathetic to outsiders
Spontaneously we went for family dinner during our stay in Mosonmagyaróvár and this place was a very pleasant surprise: tasty food, good selection of wines and excellent service. We have ordered from the seasonal list of dishes. Definitely going back during our next visit
Lovely restaurant, great atmosphere! Waiter was really friendly and helpful! A real “ must”in Hungary!
In this town this was the first restaurant I tried, arrived late, and only a couple customer was there. Had a really nice goulash and a fish risotto, the service was nice and friendly.
We’re cycling along the Danube route from Vienna to Budapest and had an overnight stop in Mosenmagyarovar. Arrived at Graben about 9pm on very quiet Tuesday night. Wow the food was excellent. Salmon with perfectly crispy skin and a pink duck breast with pear. Gorgeous...and excellent value.More
We chose the Gaben restaurant afther one week stay in Croatia, so we were after one week tasting of good sea food and good wine. We tok goulash soup - It was perfect, but after that we had spaghetti with shrimps - dont go for...It - its hard to eat it (few shrimps in some pesto sauce from jar and olives - also from jar). We had also some wine, recomended by a waiter - It was good, but really pricy. The restaurant was full of people (some party) - and we was told, that we can wait for a food up to 40 minutes (we get goulash soup afther 1 hour, and halve an our later spaghetti with jar pesto) Recomend only for local food, and when there is no a lot of proplesMore
Arrived at 20.45h only to be refused any kind if service because the chef wants to go home and close the restaurant early! We pointed out that we are with young hungry children but were told that we need to leave immediately since there are...no other customers! We pointed out that the restaurant states that it closes at 22h but to no avail. Not even an apology, they simply locked the door behind us. With such an attitude they should close forever!More
Very interesting experience with language! We spoke between us German, French and English. Our means of communication was in the end German but the waiter spoke just a little. However the food was more than acceptable but not too many vegetables.
Lovely restaurant with broad menu of high quality food. Quite affordable for this quality. Host was very welcoming
The restaurant is in a pleasant location in a side street. As I was eating alone I asked for a glass of red and was given competent and good advice. Then a storm broke so I had to relocate inside away from the lovely terrace...seating. The decor inside is modern but a huge TV screen running adverts really spoils it for me. At least it’s silent. service is slow for a simple cordon bleu salad and chips but the wine was good. No bread or other amuse bouche offered while I wait. Second glass of wine arrived but still no food. Water is topped up too. But no question as to whether everything was ok until I asked for the bill. I wanted to order something else but was left studiously alone for 25 minutes. Cordon bleu was generous in a lovely light batter rather than the usual oily breadcrumbs. Cheese was grated over the cut up meat which was a pleasant variation. Salad was generous and matchstick chips flavoursome. Restaurant prides itself on paleo choices and the price range was average for town. Quality of food was high. But the slowness of the service let it down for me. I would have ordered a dessert too if it had been quicker. I would still go again despite the wait. The wine list boasts 300 wines but I wasn’t shown it- presumably because I was on my own and a full bottle a stretch.More
Dropped in for a lunch while travelling from Viena to Budapest. The dishes rely on traditional recipes however with a smaller or evenntualy more significant, but nice twist. Service was both fast and polite. Price is reasonable.
Since 2004 we have eaten multiple times in this restaurant. Every time in was a very pleasant experience. Tasty food, pleasant sevice, good wines. Last week visit was no exception.
As previously mentioned. Chose restaurant based on Tripadvisor and not disappointed. Meal was good and choice of wine from waiter was excellent. A bit pricey for a mid-range location but good value for what it was. One bit of advice, do not need a main...course if you choose goulash soup as starter!More
