Although nobody there spoke English, we managed to communicate and the food was outstanding! We got omelettes, oatmeal, fresh mango and orange juice. Amazing!

Only 2 tables and a feeling of eating at somebody's house. We had good breakfasts and enjoyed the ambiance although we found Carolina to be better

This was a fun place! No written menu. The owner came out and told us what she had available and that's what we had. It was delicious.

What a great family and fantastic food. This is a real family affair and you feel like you are eating in mamas kitchen. Absolutely loved everything here.

Bato does not offer much for food. Seems we hit it during the slow season. We ate here twice and the prices are an honest value. The food is amazing. All of the regular players are on offer, burritos, bistec ranchero, eggs. Very tasty food going on here.

We just took a shot at heading down into the barranca with no assurance that any restaurants would be available (so we took plenty of crackers along). We were pleased to find Dona Molcas. The food was great, and the service was even better. You eat family style which was fine with us. Batopilas is a great place to relax,... More

It is a good thing that the meals here were good as it was the only restaurant open when we visited in Jan 2012. We felt like we were dining in someones home rather than a restaurant. Very comfortable atmosphere and excellent home cooking. This is where I found out what "mexican eggs" were when our guide ordered them for... More

Delightful surroundings. Woodburning stove utilized in kitchen to make homemade tortillas. All food was baked and cooked to our taste. Fresh squeeze orange juice. Freshly made pancakes. Eggs, potatoes, toast, pan dulce, bacon, ham, chorizo. There were no pre-mix or frozen ingredients used. We were 10 and the breakfast was fulfilling and great way to start a long day of... More

There are not a lot of choices of places to eat in Batopilas but Doña Molca's is. in our opinion, the best. She prepares each dish for you personally which means you have to count on taking your time-- there is not a lot to do in town anyway... This is one of the only home style places in Mexico... More
