A real Japanese restaurant with a large rank of options... Very nice the Crab soup, mixed tables with sushi, sashimi and another artisanal preparation. Well done tempura shrimps (fresh). Good list of wines, and only Japanese beers (may be that is a point ...to include some Greek beers in)

Delicious and quality Japanese food! Fresh ingredients and proper preparation-presentation! In addition to everything available (salmon, sea bass, sea bream, shrimp) there were also fresh fish from the open sea (barbouni, mayatiko), as our kind waitress informed us. The service was impeccable from everyone! We got a bottle of white wine "Northern Earth Cyathos" (€27), two miso soups (good, but with a very watery texture, the original one is more filling), spicy tuna tartare, tempura large shrimps and vegetables, mullet sashimi 3pcs, Okinawa roll with crab 8pcs, fusion nigiri with seared sea bass 4pcs and yeast nigiri 2pcs. Enough for 2 people and all delicious! The small garden at the back is beautiful, the seats were a bit uncomfortable (you need a cushion) and the table was small, there was no place for the plates... As it was not crowded on a Sunday night, they should have put us on a bigger table! Our bill was ~€100

This is an excellent value for money sushi restaurant in North suburbs of Athens (Kefalari). Most important I am going to this restaurant for more than 10 years now and they keep food quality, customer service and prices at same excellent levels. Congrats and keep going this way !

Bad confirmation of booking not very happy to assist

This place used to be our favorite place for date nights and friendly get togethers. However the last 3 times we visited we weren’t at all happy with the communication and the service (I have to say that the majority of the staff is excellent with a few exceptions that unfortunately makes the difference). We always call and book a table as we know it gets busy and as the last times we went it was on special occasion we requested to book a table in the garden. Even tho our booking was confirmed we went there and we were given many different excuses why we cannot be sited in the garden (all of the 3 times we requested for this) and we were rudely dismissed and sited at an unprepared and wobbly table. Needless to say the friends that we invited to “our amazing regular” sushi place weren’t impressed. It’s just a pity that a place with excellent food gets downgraded by the behavior of one of the staff. At least they still deliver to our area!!!

Outstanding sushi!

We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking the neighborhood. In 35 years of eating sushi this place ranks in the top five. Deliciously fresh fish made by chefs who are masters. Will definitely eat here again on our next trip to Athens.

It is a small restaurant but very nice. I have been going there for years with my family and my friends and it has remained the best sushi restaurant ever. I recommend the spicy tuna rolls and the Sapporo rolls. Literally love this place 💙 staff is very kind, restaurant is clean, fast service.

Pleasant environment with soft lighting and tranquility. Some tables even outdoors. Wide menu with many possible combinations of various types of sushi and sashimi. Very good quality of fish. Crisp and well-fried vegetable tempura. The sushi of the good chef, but it could have been a little more personalized. Recommended

Small but nice restaurant, with a very pleasant terrace. The service is nice and the food quality is good. The menu is not as for traditional Japanese restaurant; they have traditional dishes but also their own recipes.

⚠️ Food poisoning ⚠️

We ordered a take away dinner from them yesterday for our family of 4 and during the night two of our kids and the mom were throwing up. Clear case of food poisoning, however, when we called the restaurant today and complained, they completely denied their responsibility and were generally disrespectful and defensive accusing us of that “it is our personal opinion that sushi was bad.” Very disappointing, would never order from there again and of course, warned everyone we know to stay away. Upon discussion with friends, turned out it’s not the first time and many had had their stomachs upset after a visit there. Beware!

Very good sushi, service used to be better

We were visiting Square Sushi very often in the past. The food was always good, the service very good with kind and smiling people but the prices were a little bit high for what it was offering. We had not visited the restaurant for 1,5 year because we moved abroad. We came for holidays in Greece and of course we visited. The quality of the food was amazing as always. We found the prices a little bit lower. The only thing that has change is the attitude of the people working at the restaurant. They are not polite and they do not smile as they used to. Other than that we really enjoyed our dinner.

A value for money sushi place.

All these years it is the sushi place that has never compromised its high standards. High quality sushi, fresh and perfect. Good and polite service, nice environment although the tables are a little bit too close to each other and the decor will be nice to change it after all these years. During summer the outside is excellent. I Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a sushi place in the northern suburbs of Athens.
