Excellent service and superb food. Not much to add but clearly so pleased I found this place. It’s up market feeling but very casual overall

Don't miss the lamb "lechazo" and the artichokes with ham and egg, they are to die for, but to be fair everything was delicious. The croquettes were really good. The chef came out with them and asked us if we could check that they were...properly soft from the inside (like an eager and proud dad). The service is very good too. A really marvellous place.More

We went there yesterday, the staff was friendly. I wanted risotto con setas coz i saw it on the menu, but they didn’t have it, it was hard to find something for vegetarians, so i didn’t enjoy so much, BUT my partner had enjoyed his...meal since he is a meat lover” cordero” was very good with rice:)More

Very nice tipical food, professional service, great wine selection, many locals in the restaurant, all at a fair price.

It was my new friends that I made at a Protos tasting that brought me here. Like all restaurants I've been to in the Valladolid area, the food is not inexpensive. Nor is it really expensive either and our food was delicious. The searingly hot...plate that you cook your thinly sliced meat on was a lot of fun. I'm glad for my new friends' find!More

Quiet streets in penafiel revealed an inside packed with locals stuffing their faces with roasted meats and other succulent spanish goodies. They have a castilian menu for around 30 euros that packs enough lamb meat to scare the herd. Local, rustic and fine selection of...ribera del duero wines.More

In the main restaurant street, this restaurant gives more choices than others, we had delicious artichokes with eggs and cured ham.

Tiny but super cool place. Placed near the castle. Friendly, kindness and english speaking staff. Good selection of gins and vines. Really nice place to spend few hours.

Www had been touring the wine country in a rental car and my wife had read a review of this restaurant in Conde Nast. It was tricky to find but worth it. We drove our car into the old town section of Penafiel, which was...amazing. We parked several "blocks" away. The walk was so cool. We almost thought the place was closed, I am glad we went looking for it anyway. Nice bar as you walk in with dining up a short staircase. Nice linens on the table. I explained in my broken Spanish that I was a celiac (gluten free). They actually had a GF Menu, and made me fresh Gluten free bread. Both our meals were amazing. I would go back to Penafiel just to eat there again. Free Wifi as well.More
