We stopped over at this place to pick up some take away food en-route to Routburn Track. The staff provided helpful tips for our trek while serving us. When we learnt that it is open till 9pm, we decided not to go to Queenstown and instead had a dinner there. The venison burger was huge but delicious. The beer from... More

We stopped for a light snack and a coffee......oh dear not a good thing to do with all those tempting bakes and cakes available! Ended up with soups, pastries etc. Very tasty and a nice setting outside in the late spring sunshine. If you are on a drive or hike this is a good stopping place.

We visited the restaurant/café hungry after a horse riding trek. The food options are good and the premises welcoming inside and out. The chicken, brie and cranberry toasties were delicious, although I had to ask for mine to be reheated as it was originally served almost cold. Pies and cakes were OK, and coffees were pretty good, although there were... More

What a find! We had a fabulous breakfast here and took full advantage of their well stocked display full of beautiful scones, quiche, sandwiches and pies... I could of eaten it all! Staff were friendly and polite, what's not to love about the place!

My wife and I decided to forgo the camper van meal on our trip to Glenorchy and went for a meal at the Lodge. Excellent food, great company and a few beers later, we happily sat out side to watch the sun go down. An unexpected treat on our busy honeymoon holiday.

My husband and I stayed in Glenorchy for 3 days on the last leg of our honeymoon. We nearly ate every meal at this lodge! The food is really some of the best we've had. For breakfast we would each get a combo plate comprised of baked beans, poached eggs, hearty toast, and delicious rosemary sausage. My favorite meal for... More

The drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy is glorious and we'd decided we wanted to do it, regardless of whether there was anywhere good to eat at the end. This is like a breath of fresh air!! We went into 2 other places and walked back out because they were so busy. What a joy to find this and to have... More
