Good real ale. Goats cheese starter, very tasty, as was crab cakes. Tuna steak and my mixed fish platter (special for the day), went down well. We shared a chocolatey dessert, bit dry even with ice cream, maybe better with real cream? Fair price, comfortable dining in old character pub.

Haven't eaten here for a few years, but had a great family Sunday lunch for eight today. Lovely food and plenty of it, great service (with a smile) nothing was too much trouble, even served up young granddaughters food early as she was starving. Would definitely recommend, and it was all very reasonably priced.

This is a welcoming hostelry. The beer is good and there is always a friendly atmosphere. There is a pleasant enclosed pub garden, which of course is excellent when the weather permits.
