On recommendation I tried here with my wife at the weekend. Didn't book and it was packed! Thankfully they fitted us in at the restaurant area. The food was simply fantastic. Delicious and original. I had the Bury Biddy and the wife had Cidey Pig. Highly recommend both of them!! I had a Yorkie Creme Brûlée and it was also... More

Wow. Food was simply amazing! Died and went to heaven. The service from the guy the waiter was great. However he then went on a break and it was like we were about. Was waiting for someone to offer us puddings - however - no one came to clear the plates, so we just paid and left. Will revisit based... More

My family and I came to Ye Olde Hob Inn for my birthday, from stepping in the Inn to leaving we were made to feel so welcome. The lady who served us throughout was lovely and very attentive and even give my daughters boyfriend a choice sample of the local ales the food was fabulous and very filling. The inside... More

Visited the Hob again on Sunday 21 August with my son and his girlfriend who haven't been before for my belated birthday meal. As usual the service was fantastic and we were taken straight to our table. The food was fabulous X2 roast beef dinners, piglet and pudding and a Bury biddy. We did ask for more gravy and some... James in charge super efficient and very friendly. The food is delicious the chicken goujons superb, the tapas great, lots to choose from big portions so bear that in mind and come hungary. We had chicken burger, beef burger, fish and chips and the chef did a chicken breast with peppercorn sauce, an onion scallop and thrice cooked chips for me,... More

We went for the 2 course groupon meal, we both had chicken goujons which were lovely and then we had the homemade cheese and onion pie it was okay, quite sickly and the chips were quite greasy and pale didn't look triple cooked, I would expect them to be golden brown chips, probably won't go again

The chips are triple cooked but apologies if you felt there were underdone. I did personally ask you halfway through your meal... More
