Down a no through road that heads to the downs and some good walks, nice old church too. An unspoilt rural spot indeed, much like the pub, which is a well cared for pub that hasn't been tarted up by a faceless corporate chain, quiet...More

This pub is located off of the main road (A27) so is not visible unless you knew where to go. A great location with friendly staff and great food with a mix of locals and walkers.

We arrived somewhat pensive after a very disappointing lunch elsewhere the day before. We clearly had made a good choice - what a well-run pub with an organised kitchen and attentive service. The dining room is a bit dated and the menu is not a...More

Like many frequent visitors to Rose Cottage it wasn't just the owner's commitment to excellent fresh food, selected beers and wines that kept us all returning - it was their quirky characters and professionalism. Let's hope the new owners retain some values of one of...More
