The hotel itself is fascinating and packed with interesting features to the point it feels a bit like being on a film set. The beer garden is lovely with picture perfect views over the village green, and the staff were friendly. We ate both dinner...More

My husband and I had a wonderful experience for three nights at the Saint George Inn and Plaines. Our room was in the Plains, across the street. It was quiet and clean and very roomy. We found the staff to be courteous, friendly and extremely...More

Stayed here with our two children for two nights, eating on both evenings. The room was quaint, 4 poster bed, beams. However this comes at a price; dark and incredibly stuffy with 2 small windows and a tiny fan. The bed was squeaky. Room ridiculously...More

Wow — this pub has been serving beer for over 700 years. The history of this area is fascinating, and the George Inn was in the middle of - or in front of - quite a bit of it. Visit and learn about the battle...More

The restaurant is utterly fabulous in terms of history and originality. The food was a bit disappointing though and really forgettable. Staff very pleasant. Wine list nice, reasonably priced.

The property is beautiful with a fantastic history to it. The staff are great and attentive. The food however is very expensive for what you get! Fine dining prices for a mediocre experience. Just drink the fancy alcohol they have. Don’t waste your money on...More
