Got the ferry over especially to visit Ponto Final and it didn’t disappoint, having been slightly nervous of the recent negative reviews. Staff were very friendly, weather glorious - would definitely return.

What an amazing experience, must do! We visited on 5th June and it was one of the best dinners ever. I booked the table around 2 months in advance but it was definitely worth it. Stunning views, delicious food and polite staff. We arrived just...before 7pm as we had a booking. Staff were clear about where to stand if you had a reservation and where to queue if you did not. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. When we ordered our food, they advised that one rice portion would be enough and they were definitely right! It was very honest of them to tell us and saved us ordering a huge amount of food and wasting money. Very good sized portions. I would definitely recommend and don’t let some of the reviews put you off!More

Anyone who thinks this food here was good must not have tried an authentic fish restaurant in Portugal. Prawns were mushy (probably frozen) staff are arrogant. The view makes it and we tried to make the most of it but would never go back.

Absolutely no stars. We booked in uk and when arrived told that was impossible. Extremely rude manager and waiters. We did not stay. Left and went back to Lisbon for amazing pizza. Don’t even bother setting off to go.

The place is beautiful and that's it... waiting line is crazy I have waited for 4 hours they even forgot (purposely) about me, RACIST PLACE! Everyone that came after me got a table very easily... I asked them 2 times, non response, it was freezing...cold, I started getting sick and decided to leave after telling them how shameful this was. Of course no apology from them Horrible expérience as tourist... i definitely don't recommend this placeMore

We read about this place and knew we had to go! We couldn't get a reservation but turned up at 6.30pm ready to wait. There were many people who had the same idea as us! Would recommend coming much earlier to ensure getting a table...outside especially. Even better, book months in advance! We sat inside but didn't mind that because it was freezing outside. Food didn't disappoint. Our amazing charismatic server, Maria, made our experience unforgettable with her on-point food recommendations and hilarious character. Would recommend the octopus salad and shrimp starter! All in all, a million thanks for a great meal to end our time in Lisbon.More

The restaurant doesn’t take a lot of bookings and encourages people to walk in. We arrived at 7:30pm with close on 30 people ahead of us in the queue. The queuing system was also a mystery. We decided to wait for an hour to see...what happens (it’s quite a drive from Lisbon, despite looking close) and luckily got a table inside the restaurant, which was wasnt exactly what we imagined when we planned our visit, of course, but by then the sun was gone and we were starving. The staff clearly understand that the business is mostly tourists so service was average. The food was amazing though. We expected less due to the touristy nature of the place, but everything that came out of the kitchen was super fresh and well prepared.More

This spot is amazing, easy access from Lisbon central from cais do sodre ferry and just a 10 min walk once you get off. We got there at 6.30, and the wait was long but very worth it. We queued for an hour and then...optionally chose to wait a further hour on the dock with a glass of wine, so that we could get a table that overlooked the sunset. Silvano and the team was so attentive , polite and calm given the popular demand of the restaurant. I would recommend taking a jumper as it does get chilly (seaside breeze) and to take cash for a tip as unfortunately they don’t accept this on card, and you will definitely want to after such a pleasant evening! We ordered the slated cod (2 large fillets with potato/veg) and the SALMON 🌟More

The octopus was good with fresh onions and olive oil that was very Mediterranean. The cod appetizer was dry and mealy with little flavor. Ambiance and view from the outside door tables to the west is a 10. The buzz and happiness at seeing one...of natures beautiful events is contagious and when shared with a love, family or fiend is special. We had salmon which was very good and pork chunks which was bit dry but flavorful with middle eastern spices. Get some wine, slow down, talk too much and ENJOYMore

We had lunch seated at the water. The food was very good and the overall experience was excellent. I thought there was great value. I highly recommend the experience if this type of restaurant interests you. Our starter was a good Octopus salad. Our entree...was the monkfish stew was excellent--billed as for two people but could have easily fed 3 or 4 if each had their own appetizer. We also shared a bottle of wine and dessert--both we're good. We first became aware of this restaurant when watching the Lisbon episode of Somebody Feed Phil and finally made it to Portugal this year after the pandemic delayed our original plans. I'm glad we were able to experience it for ourselves. Getting there is easier than I thought it would be. It was a short ferry ride and about a 15-minute interesting but safe and pleasant walk. We were fortunate to have cloudy but dry weather! Dinner reservations are hard to come by, but we did make lunch reservations (same menu) about 5 weeks in advance. Many people showed up at 12:30pm opening time without reservations, but I think most were eventually seated.More

Everything about Porto final is fantastic, the food, the staff and the views! The gentleman who greets and seats everyone is hilarious, he asked everyone where they were from and was making the whole queue laugh. We’ve read some previous reviews about this man making...rude comments but I genuinely think they must not understand his sense of humour as he’s fantastic. The various waiting staff were also lovely. We tried to tip them but unfortunately they can’t accept tips on card and we didn’t have any cash. The food was incredible - the monkfish stew is a must! And the sunset was the icing on the cake. We booked a table at Porto Final 3 months in advance and would 100% recommend doing so unless you want to stand in a queue of 100s of people who haven’t. It does get cold later on and can be a little windy so be sure to take a jacket!More

A late decision to visit so not the Ponto Final's fault they could not accomodate us. We used the free lift 100m further on and visited Almada town. The views from the top are even better although you do not get to sit on the...water as you do at Ponto Final. Not quite so instagramable perhaps but we had a fantastic lunch with great service at A Tapada do Zé Grande. Highly recommend.More

Extremely rude manager and bang average/poor food. Arrived to a lengthy queue. Happened to chat to a couple in front who said the queue we were in was for reservations. Spoke to guy who was in charge of seating everyone. He was unbelievably arrogant and...rude and asked me if I couldn’t read and that I should have come to front of queue to read some small blackboards. I wanted to explain that if the boards were at start of queue with instructions then I wouldn’t have joined the reservation queue but the queue that was hidden at a side stairway. Next part completely threw and shocked me. The manager asked young black woman in front how many required to be seated. When she said ‘one’ his response was ‘ oh so no one likes you then if you’re dining alone’. At least 10 of us who were in queue were absolutely appalled and shocked at this level of abuse and bullying of a young single woman. One meal (sea bass) was good, other main course was simply disgusting - cod was as dry as a stick. We now realise that they had forgotten about our order as so many people who were seated around 25 mins after us had been served their food rendering the cod dry and tasteless.More
