On the way back after visiting Auroville we had our lunch at Tanto as we had heard and read a lot about it especially the wood oven baked thin crust pizzas
The place was crowded but the service was fairly quick and the pizzas which...one can see bring prepared in front of you were decently priced and tasty though one medium size was actually enough for twoMore

There was a huge crowd at this open air place but people were being accommodated quite quickly. After placing the order, the wait for the food was not long. You should go to Tanto to eat their pizzas! The pasta and the watermelon juice were...just as wonderful. The bill was very reasonable considering the high quality of the ingredients , liberally used. In spite of being rushed, staff is very polite. It has a happy, cool atmosphere!
Be aware though that for lunch they stop strictly at 3 pm
There 's a parking lot a little away at walkable distance.More
We had ordered a Fantasy Pizza which consisted shrimps as the main topping. The pizza was good but it was slightly blant. The base was good , thin and soft. We had also ordered 2 glasses of iced tea whic was good. The location was...awesome too. It was a green lush place. The only problem were flies.

A bustling restaurant under the shades of trees. We were on time just after the restaurant opened for the day,the right time to catch the seats else the wait time is beyond mention. We were here to try the pizza. We ordered minestrone soup and...Earth pizza. The soup was the best I ever had 💕. Farm fresh veggies n auroville made cheese pizza. Gastronomy ,the art!
But this isn't a place for desserts.
Tiramisu was terrible, we couldn't try after the first bite.
Wait time is near an hour.More
