Delicious oysters. The fried is the best for a non oyster eater. I personally enjoyed the charcoal grilled premium. Don't forget to finish with the shaved ice.

We ordered barbecued oysters and the crumbed ones. And quickly ordered one more set of barbecued! Lemon mojito is also a must ordered item!

These are some of the largest oysters I have ever seen. If you prefer baked/bbq oysters rather than raw, you need to eat here! We ordered the traditional and the parmesan, both of which were fantastic. The only thing that could have made the experience better would be availability of oyster crackers, but I don't think they eat oysters like... More

We went in Jun when oyster is not at its best season. We ordered the kayiya set to try oysters cooked in different ways. The BBQ ones were great but others are nothing out of ordinary. The wine by the glass served was not as fresh so it's better to order a whole bottle. Better call this restaurant in advance... More

Good ambiance, food and service. Tried their deep-fried giant oysters, an experience I have only seen here.

Kakiya should be the most famous oyster restaurant in the Miyajima Island. People, either foreigners or Japanese, will make a visit to Kakiya if they will tour Miyajima Island. We were assisted by the hotel before we went, by sending in a fax with our names, number of people, and estimated arrival time to Kakiya in advance. That helps us... More

Fresh, tasty and juicy oysters grilled, fried or simply eaten raw. Should try their rice cooked with oysters if you have rooms for more. Reasonable price in terms of quality and service. Probably one of the best oyster bar in the area.

Essentially only oysters on the menu, but deliciously cooked in all sorts of ways. Ask for the "secret menu" and for JY 2,500 oysters will be served every way possible - barbecued, steamed, grilled, fried. For children and weird adults who don't like oysters, they do a pork cutlet set. The sake and wine list is good. Modern designed restaurant.... More

Had their special menu, tried many different ways of coking really fresh oysters. Love the fried, grilled ones best. Friendly service, lots of alcohol options. If you come to see the floating shrine, this is the place for lunch/dinner!

Our volunteer guide took us here for lunch, while we were visiting the island. It is his favorite place for oysters at Miyajima. And he pointed out to us that they have the longest lineup, which means they're the best :) The place looked small on the outside, but in fact they have a second floor. And so the wait... More
