This is a neighborhood cafeteria style "greasy spoon" place which has been in the area over 20 years. They remodeled but apparently they have no clue as to how to handle customers and much less what it means to have quality control. I had to return sandwiches which I had ordered for a "mercy breakfast" ... when I was about... More

Last year end we make our dinner with them (pork) and it was an excellent idea, like much at all. Since there we had breakfast several times and always very good services, excellent breakfast options, sandwiches, coffee and natural orange juice. highly recommended.

I have been going to Altamira Bakery for the past 28 years. The coffee is Greatt!!! Genuine Cuban taste very similar to Calle 8's in Miami!!! I have seen most clients there (Cubans by the way) for the past 28 years and they seem to think their morning coffee is ok! There is always Star Bucks!!!

Small joint and usually very crowded, but they know how to handle crowds. Their sandwich is fresh, big and tasty. You can ask for your favorite bread, dressing, veggies, etc. Their "Sandwich de Biftec" and "Frita Cubana" are unique and very popular. They also have baked sweets. You order your meal at the cashier and then they will call your number.... More

Sometimes we go here for breakfast. On weekends, it can get a bit crowded with the breakfast crowd and rush, but you'll most likely find a seat. They serve decent eggs and toast here. During my last visit, Sunday, July 21, I tried the pernil sandwich, which was not only tasty but big. Their sandwiches are good, but not expensive.... More

It is a shame that for a Local bakery/deli that the expresso is so bad. It always tastes a bit burned. I have the same machine at home and I use Dark Pilon beans and the coffee is excellent.

When visiting Guaynabo, this is my very favorite bakery and sandwich shop of all time. The owners greet you warmly each and every time. The pastries are fresh and the pasteles de Guayaba have me coming back on a daily basis! Also the pasteles con queso are a delight any time of the day. OK, I don't just eat the... More

Altamira Bakery has a lot of great choices. From the "to die for" Bistec Sandwich, the coffee, the Sandwich de Croquetas and the empanadillas de pollo, whatever you decide to order willexceed yyour expectations. Don't hesitate to try a different sandwich in every visit.

Had the pastrami sandwich , the quality of the meat is good (not as juicy as at La Patisserie in Plaza) BUT they put a swweet sauce on it which dramatically changes the flavor vs. a typical pastrami deli sandwich, if you want traditional taste tasting pastami sandwich ask them to hold the sauce. Note: they also don't sell chips... More

The pastries are fresh, service is friendly - your order is taken by the owners who are always at the front cashier. The coffee is fantastic. They even make Cuban coffee if you order it. The sandwiches are excellent and all made to order. Try the Mallorca sandwich or the sandwich de bistec. You wont regret it.
