After falling in powder and struggling for nearly 10 mins to get up, I have never been so thankful to see a mid mountain food stop in my life. There’s heaters to dry your gear and friendly staff. The cheeseburger was excellent and the chips were big and chunky. Definitely worth a stop on your way down.

We wanted to learn how to ski and Aki’s place provided the right lesson for beginners who cant converse in Japanese. Ann sensei was very attentive. Her instructions were very clear and always careful whenever we go down the slopes. Of course I fell down numerous times but sensei never gave up on me. Thanks to her ongoing encouragement we finally learned how to ski. Mine is not perfect yet but I promise to come again to conquer the mountain! Thanks Ann Sensei and Aki san. You guys were awesome! Ohwwwwww...the Quattro formargio pizza was soooo good!

Highly recommend. Visited here every day of our visit to Madarao for the coffee and just enjoyed pizzas and beer for dinner tonight. Good place to hang out next to the slopes. Has cards and games too. Our son had a snowboard lesson from North Nagano Outdoor Sports too - a group lesson of one! Winning!

WOW What a little gem. Stumbled across this place on my way back to my accommodation. GREAT coffee ( as we Aussies like it). Any place in Japan that can make a decent coffee is A GEM. The food here is great The pizza is highly recommended . A great location as well

This place is awesome. The coffee is wonderful. Ski up and grab a hot drink, a beer or lunch.
It is great to sit back in the warmth and watch the ski fields and all the activity. Or sit outside for some sunshine and laughs while watching the passing parade.
The staff are friendly and it is a great location for people watching while escaping the cold and resting your legs.

Came for a cup of Coffee. Cappuccino was soooo good. Decided we should come back, since I saw they serve food as well. The PIZZA was off the hook, my husband said the curry was Awesome as well! And the beer are served in Cold Beer Mug!! Surely recommend this place❤

Akis is a great spot for a coffee with awesome staff, great food for lunch and sensational beers.
Aki is also very welcoming and helpful with village information.
The ski school and back country tours are great too.

Aki’s caffe is just below the entrance of ski area. Mushroom and bacon pizza was delicious. Goes well with ice cold Sapporo beer!

Great atmosphere inside. Easily accessible from the street (has parking) and also from the lift. Friendly and helpful staff. (English and Japanese speaking)

Aki’s is awesome! The pizza is great! We had pizza there for lunch two days in a row. It is a nice way to take a break from skiing. The staff is super friendly. Enjoy!

Great pizza and fries and the best hot chocolate and coffee! Child friendly atmosphere and wonderful service. Located in the middle of the slope, ski in and ski out for a perfect meal to keep the energy up in the powder!

I stopped in here almost by accident one morning, I was looking for a coffee, and this is the perfect spot and the coffee was good too, Aki and his crew are all really welcoming and it was nice to be acknowledged when every I visited, I really enjoyed sitting outside on the chairs , watching all the skiers and boarders going past, whenever I am in Madarao, I will stop in here for a coffee.
