It lives up to its big reputation!

We had as good a curry as we've had anywhere in Britain. There are details here that really show the effort they put in. For example, the garlic nan was easily the best I've ever had - light, just crispy on the edges and great flavour. We shared 2 starters, had a curry each from their specials and shared rice and a nan. It was more than we could eat and everything was perfectly cooked and presented. The staff are friendly and attentive too. Top marks all round from both of us.

Royal Balti House

Well from booking to us leaving the Royal balti house was an absolute gem, we were late making the booking for my birthday but the staff at royal balti were very accommodating for us. On ringing them they asked was there any special reason for our visit (which there was) on arrival we were seated and offered the drink menu and food menu, there was no pressure to order quickly, after ordering our drinks I had queries as to certain dishes on the menu, these were then explained in detail even to the extent of if we were not happy with our choice they would change it. The food and service was excellent and after our meal they had organised a card a cake and balloon to celebrate my birthday. 5 stars to these guys and we will certainly return. Thanks again.

Family Festive Meal

Our party of seven were warmly welcomed at 5.00pm and taken to our well laid out table. We quickly ordered drinks before selecting meals from the menu, which started with popadoms with 2x4 pots of different flavoured chutneys. Then our various main courses were served with either boiled or pillau rice and without exception were all well prepared with delicious flavours. At all times we were well looked after by the staff and enjoyed a chat with Keith the owner. It is definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely faultless. Food fresh and tasty - just enough spice in the curries not to be overwhelming. Rice just perfect. Meat tender. Good size portions. Attentive and professional staff. Nice surroundings. Probably a bit more expensive than our usual haunt (eg side dish between seven and eight quid) but saying that we would rather pay a bit more and have everything 100% perfect than be let down or disappointed on one aspect or another. Be aware though that the bill comes stamped with "cash payment only" which is fine if you know in advance. Highly recommended.

Serving old food and expensive- rundown area

Very expensive for a very poor location if run down street. They served me an old Nan bread ( heated up ) !! They serviced used dips and when I asked , they lied it is fresh but very obvious . Cola cost £5 in such rubbish place. My favourite curry tased bad in the is place . Not worth at all

We are very much confused about your review it raises more questions than answers because, You say this is rundown area looking at your profile you never dined in any restaurant in uk, I have no idea if you even lived in uk to judge that. We have been running this restaurant for 36 years in this area and we are the oldest Indian in Bolton. We are one of best Indian restaurant in Bolton in recognition we won lots of awards. We have over 200 dishes new style to old also there is menu box outside for customer to see before they come and we gave you menu at table, if it is expensive you are welcome to leave. This is reputable Restaurant we do not sell ready made food here. Because coke price is £5 you say this place is rubbish, but why you even ordered here after knowing the prices. You complained about the naan you finished of eating. To make you happy we took it off your bill still you are not happy. You also finished of all food that you did not like. After all that you given us 1* review, I am not sure what else could of done. We work very hard to keep our image up. All I can say some one above is watching what you do. ALHAMDULILLAH. Never had a bad meal

As my Trip advisor account seems to have died I thought I would share via Facebook our enjoyable evening last night. My husband and I had a night out at the Royal Balti House Farnworth and as always a brilliant meal. They were really busy last night, two large birthday parties, a small birthday party and an engagement, plus the casual diners and that was at the later siting. There had already been a couple of large parties earlier BUT the staff still found time to explain and advise a diner on what sauces could be had with a Chicken Tikka Shaslik. My husband has the Bolti sauce, not Balti but Bolti. I had my usual favourite spicy chicken tikka noodles, spiced up a bit more thank you Atikur!!!!! Wonderful. Even finished off with ice cream then was spotted by the lady who weighs me at Slimming World. I know everyone who knows me knows how much I enjoy the Royal Balti House and hope if you lice close enough you will give it a try. You will NOT regret it.

10/10. Such tasty food at very reasonable price. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food arrived quickly and very tasty. We had chicken tikka noodles and staff chicken curry both dishes were delicious. We will be back.

Food to die for !!

This is a great Indian, I normally pop in after a few pints in a Friday evening. The lamb chops come highly recommended. I would even say they are to die for. Great value, you need to come to this place at least once in your lifetime.

Balti birthday

Excellent evening. Great service, quick food and very friendly. We had the Shashlik and the noodles! Never seen noodles in an Indian before and they were so good, very spicy but so flavoursome! The visit was for a birthday and they kindly had a balloon and card waiting on the table and we were surprised with a large chocolate cake and a sparkling candle! Which was such a nice touch and surprise! The manager spoke with us a few times and was very friendly and sweet. Will be back again soon. Thanks balti babes !

Amazing as always! There was nowhere else I was going to choose for my birthday meal with my family. In the 30 years I've been a customer (makes me feel old, but I am only 36) I've never been disappointed, always been served delicious food and always received outstanding service. Best Indian restaurant I've been to.

Enjoyed an excellent meal with visiting family. Whilst not a large retaurant, the decor was pleasant and the menu exhaustive. All items were marked as to how hot they were and found to be correct for the meals we had. Portions were large and the food of high quality. Service was excellent and friendly. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Royal Balti.

Birthday meal

My husband and I visit the Royal Balti in Farnworth quire regularly and as well as exceptional food the whole evening is like dining with friends the only difference is that we pay for the meal. Last night we took my husband's best friend with us for his birthday. Although he hasn't been in there for over 25 years they recognised him!! He was welcomed by Keith an Anan with welcome, long time since we have seen you. THAT is the kind of people who own and run the Royal Balti. They remember you, once you have been there you are a friend. If you haven't tried it please pop in, have a meal, they can and will adjust any meal to your liking. They are genuine people who want you to enjoy dining with them. You will not want to have a curry anywhere else. My all time favourite is chicken tikka noodles that they spice UP for me. No better place for food and a pleasant evening.

Highly recommend: excellent food and service

I recently had my birthday meal here and the restaurant went out of their way to make it special. When we arrived they had a birthday balloon and card on the table for me. The staff were very friendly and attentive, always checking if we needed anything. The food was very tasty (there was 11 of us and every dish we ordered was lovely) and the portions are not small which is good, you get your moneys worth. The atmosphere is also lovely, it’s a nice small restaurant with a relaxing decor. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who enjoys Indian food and myself and my family will definitely be going again to try some other dishes :)

An amazing feast at Royal Balti House

If you're in Farnworth and hungry for something amazing, Royal Balti House the place to go! This place is like a food kingdom, and every bite is a mini celebration. Cosy yet classy. The staff is friendly, making you feel like you're at a friend's house where the kitchen just happens to be amazing. And speaking of the kitchen, the chef is a like flavour wizard, turning every dish into a taste adventure. (watch out for the spicy fries they have some kick) The menu is a rollercoaster of delights. Whether you're into classic goodies or feeling a bit wild, they've got you covered. Seriously, the Royal Balti House Special Biryani is out of this world. the whole experience. Each dish looks like it's straight out of a food magazine. This place isn't just a restaurant; it's a flavour fiesta that you won't forget.
